Angie Malbrough

Owner and Center Director
My name is Angie Malbrough. I am the new owner of Mathnasium of South Baton Rouge. A little about me. I am the proud mother of three wonderful kids. Hannah who is twenty-two, Mary who is seventeen, and Elijah who is three. I am a 2006 graduate from Louisiana State University where I graduated with a degree in elementary education. I also received a master’s in educational leadership from Southeastern in Hammond. I am a former teacher and worked in the East Baton Rouge School System teaching gifted, magnet, and special education students. I first started my own personal Mathnasium journey here at this center. My daughter Mary was struggling in math in elementary school and me trying to teach her was not working. I enrolled her skeptical if this would work for her. The first thing I noticed was her confidence in math improved. She was asking to go to the Mathnasium because it was fun. Her grades started improving and I was a believer and supporter. This place transformed not only her life but mine as well. I knew in 2017 Mathnasium and helping others was my true passion and calling in life. I started my own Mathnasium in the fall of 2017 in Mandeville, Louisiana. So here I am again starting a new journey where it all began. I couldn’t be more excited to help as many students as possible build their confidence and understanding of math. My goal is to be a community and school partner, so if your school needs anything I can help with just ask.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
