Lily Stessman

Instructor
Lily is a mechanical engineering major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she has completed the Calculus series is is currently taking Linear Analysis. She has been tutoring math for over three years, and started at Mathnasium in July of 2020 .the Distinguished Young Woman of Turlock for 2021. At Cal Poly, Lily also participates in the Badminton Club, the Vietnamese Student Association, and the Society of Women Engineers. Lily is an accomplished pianist and has earned a Piano Certificate of Merit Level 8. In her free time, she enjoys going on runs and playing the piano. She loves to volunteer, working with younger kids to teach them coding. Favorite Animal or Pet: My Dog Doozy Favorite Math Joke: Why did the mathematician spill all of his food in the oven? Kyle Eshagh

Instructor
Kyle Eshagh is an Eagle Scout who recently graduated from Pitman High School as a Distinguished Scholar, third in his class. He was part of the varsity cross country team, participated in Science Olympiad and created the Math Club at Pitman High. Kyle is also part of the National Youth Leadership Training Staff with Scouts BSA and enjoys giving back to his community. For his Eagle Scout Project, Kyle created 12 irrigated planter boxes with a team of 30 volunteers, half of whom where from the Home Depot located in Turlock. Kyle enjoys mentoring and teaching kids including scouts with Troop 451 as well as tutoring kids at Mathnasium. He is entering Stanislaus State University as an Junior and plans on studying Chemistry with an environmental focus. Favorite Animal or Pet: Fish Favorite Joke: If you are cold go stand in a corner. Why? Because it is always 90°. Favorite Number: 7

Jacob Howard

Instructor
Jacob Howard graduated from Stanislaus State University with a BA in mathematics. Jacob has a history mastering anything he dedicates himself towards. In addition to possessing an outstanding sense of mathematics, Jacob values the importance of developing an interpersonal friendship and empathizing with all students. Our Instruction Staff

Our instruction staff consists of certified teachers, math graduates, and undergraduates pursuing either a math or STEM related degree. All are highly qualified and rigorously trained team members who are required to first pass a comprehensive set of verbal and written assessments covering all aspects of mathematics and instruction philosophy before being considered for a position at Mathnasium. Background check are required, as is a "trial run" interaction with the students. Additionally, all instructors are required to undergo continuous training. Our staff of instructors not only do an excellent job of teaching math, but they also create a positive, enthusiastic atmosphere providing the support and encouragement your child needs to succeed. All of our instructors are passionate about math and love to work with kids. Our goal at Mathnasium of Turlock is to help your child succeed in school and in life.
