Math Instructor / Tutor
An instructor's job is to coach students through their learning materials. This includes explaining new topics, answering questions, reviewing completed work, and helping with homework. Mathnasium instructors are mentors and coaches. Your job will be to help ensure that students are learning and staying motived through their session. You will work with up to four kids at one time - and we'll train you how to do that. Mathnasium instructors need to have strong math knowledge - ideally through precalculus. A math test through Algebra II is part of the application process.
Lead Instructors have similar responsibilities as Instructors. Additionaly, Lead Instructors take responsibility for opening and closing the center each day, supporting other instructors at the center, and supporting the lead education team (with student assessments and learning material preparation). Mathnasium Lead Instructors need to have strong math knowledge through calculus. An advanced math test through Calculus is part of the application process.
