Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting; our unique approach enables us to explain concepts really well and lend a helping hand to every student. CenterDirectorJody Doppelt, Owner/Operations Manager

Jody is theOwner/Operations Manager at Mathnasium of Columbia, MO. Prior to opening her Mathnasium center, Jody worked as a math teacher at O'Connor High School in Helotes, TX for 16 years. Jody received her Bachelor of Science degree from National University in San Diego, CA and her Secondary Teaching Certificate in Mathematics from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  Jody is enthusiastic about helping every child in the Columbia community to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. She has taught and tutored children of all ages, and she is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community.  Jody's favorite number is 12.

 

 David Wang, Instructor

David graduated from Amherst College in 2017 with a double major in Chemistry and Spanish.  He aspires to become a doctor and enjoys singing, hip-hop dance, watching TV and traveling. David's favorite number is 15 because his birthday is the 15th of March.

                                                             

 

Richard Tocco, Instructor  

Richard is an Instructor at Mathnasium of Columbia, MO.  He is majoring in Accounting at the University of Missouri. Richard's favorite number is 9 because his birthday is December 9th and he wore the #9 on his high school baseball uniform.

 

 Kendall Joyce , Instructor

 Kendall is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in Exceptional Child (Special Education).  She is employed at Derby Ridge Elementary and her favorite number is 11.

 Gene Austin, Instructor

Gene is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a degree in Training and Development and Midwestern Baptist Seminary with a Master's of Divinity degree.  Gene and his wife are the proud parent's of five children.  

Lukas Jakubin, Instructor  

 Lukas is an Accounting major at the University of Missouri and will graduate May 2020.  His favorite number is 17 because it is the coolest looking number and it is the number he wore on all his sports jerseys.

Taylor Warren, Instructor  

Taylor graduated December 2017 with a degree in Mathematics and Seconday Education.  She hopes to start teaching high school math in the fall.  Her favorite number is 17 since Taylor and her twin's birthday is on the 17th.
