At Mathnasium, we help kids understand math by teaching the way that makes sense to them. Children who consistently attend sessions at our learning centers enjoy a transformative learning experience and make huge strides in the classroom.
Attitude: When math makes sense, kids develop a more positive attitude toward math.
Understanding: Mathnasium teaches for understanding, giving students the ability to succeed in any math environment. As Larry Martinek, Mathnasium’s Chief Instructional Officer notes, “It's pretty easy to forget things you memorize and near impossible to forget things you understand."
School Progress: When kids learn math in a way that they truly understand, they achieve greater success in the classroom.

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how my son is doing in Calculus since we signed him at Mathnasium.
Before coming in he had an F on a quiz, an F on his homework and an F on a second quiz.
Since coming in for help he has gotten a B on a quiz, a B- on a homework and a B on a quiz.
Whatever you guys are doing is definitely working to help him understand calculus and give him confidence that he can succeed in this class....he was definitely doubtful at the end of September. I know he has a long year ahead of him, but he has a lot of confidence in coming to Mathnasium and has told me "these guys really know their stuff".
So, I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the help is receiving and say thanks for helping him in a way that he clearly understands!!
Father of senior at Stillwater Area High School
Our 15 year old son has always struggled with math, but this year it became more apparent as he began to slip behind in it. Mathnasium of Stillwater is fabulous! They provide a comfortable, welcoming environment for the kids. Our son, who really hated math, now really enjoys going there because he is learning (and in many cases, relearning) math. He feels really good about getting through the assignments and his confidence has soared. He also loves the incentives they offer, e.g. iTunes or Xbox gift cards. Keep up the great work!

From the first time we walked in the door at Stillwater Mathnasium we were treated very professionally. Mr. Gore, the owner and director of the center is a father and coach and has a great way of talking to the jr. High age students, treating them as young adults not little kids.
My daughter struggled through elementary math and we knew that she needed a little boost over the summer to gain some confidence in school math. We started the program in the beginning of June. As we were walking out of the center after her first session I asked her to rate her visit on a scale of one to ten. Now, keep in mind this is a 12 year old girl who was going to a math center over summer vacation. She said "I would give it a nine. It was kind of fun." WOW I was sold.
Now we are into the second month of school and it is so great to know that if she didn't understand her math lesson at school that she can bring it to Mathnasium and get some extra help. If she did understand her lesson at school and finished her home work at school, she works from her Mathnasium binder. Her binder is specialized just for her. It has different skills that she needs a little more practice on from previous math levels.
She likes all of the coaches at the center and says that they are really good at explaining things in a different way than her teachers did.
