Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Harrison Friedman

Educational Director
Harrison has always enjoyed math, science, and the arts. Harrison has a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Binghamton University, where he was also a member of the theatre department and performed with the acapella group, No Strings Attached. Harrison truly believes that Mathnasium's curriculum teaches math while its instructors teach confidence, trust, and the ability to ask for help. A firm believer in mental health, he feels the instructors are role models for students who are both advanced and behind -- who may need an example of how to keep working while still getting to have fun! A member of the team since 2017, Harrison is excited to be taking on the role of Co-Educational Director of Mathnasium of the Upper East Side and Union Square.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
