Yetunde Adegoju
Co-owner/Centre Director
Yetunde is the Co-owner and Centre Director of Mathnasium of Airdrie, bringing over 15 years of teaching experience in math and science. She holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and previously taught mathematics in a specialized school in the United Kingdom. Her background also includes work as a child counsellor with CASA in Alberta.
Yetunde is passionate about making math engaging and accessible for every learner. She focuses on building strong foundations, confidence, and persistence through supportive, personalized instruction, and remains active in volunteer work throughout the community.
Sumathi Chinnapandi
Assistant Centre Director
Sumathi is the Assistant Centre Director at Mathnasium of Airdrie and a dedicated mathematics educator. She holds an M.Phil. in Mathematics and earned a gold medal for academic achievement. With a strong commitment to learning, she plans to pursue her PhD and continue growing her expertise in the field.
Sumathi believes math success comes from both skill-building and confidence. She creates a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and develop strong problem-solving habits through personalized, engaging instruction.
Funmi Agunlejika
Math Instructor
Funmi is a highly experienced instructor who brings strong STEM knowledge and a passion for teaching to Mathnasium of Airdrie. She also teaches at SAIT and has spent years refining her ability to explain complex concepts in clear, student-friendly ways. Funmi especially enjoys working with elementary and middle-grade students, where strong foundations make a lasting difference.
Funmi focuses on building confidence, curiosity, and persistence through patient guidance and supportive instruction. She helps students strengthen core math skills while developing the mindset they need to succeed in future STEM learning.
Owen Stevenson
Math Instructor
Owen is a Math Instructor at Mathnasium of Airdrie with a strong passion for helping students succeed in math. He has completed advanced coursework, including Math 31, and plans to pursue a dual degree in Kinesiology and Commerce at the University of Calgary. Owen brings a thoughtful, analytical approach to problem-solving and enjoys guiding students through challenging concepts.
Owen supports students by breaking down skills step by step and helping them build confidence through steady progress. He encourages students to stay motivated, strengthen fundamentals, and feel proud of their math growth.
Sanjana Tangellapelli
Math Instructor
Sanjana is a Math Instructor at Mathnasium of Airdrie with a Master of Science in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. Her strong academic background supports her clear, logical approach to teaching math. Sanjana is also committed to education access and has volunteered in programmes that build libraries and organize science classes for underprivileged children.
Sanjana helps students develop strong foundational skills and confidence through patient, supportive instruction. She encourages curiosity and persistence while showing students how math thinking can open doors across STEM and everyday life.
