Kent

Assistant Centre Director
Kent is an Assistant Center Director and a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Minor in History. They have experience tutoring math alongside various other subjects, including having taught English abroad in Japan. They plan on harnessing their skill for teaching to get a Bachelors of Education in the near future to become a teacher full-time. Outside of work, Kent enjoys playing in the Ottawa Pops Orchestra and writing.

Riley

Lead Instructor
Riley is currently completing a Bachelor of Mathematics in Statistics with a minor in Psychology at Carleton University. Riley has previously volunteered as a youth soccer coach and plays competitively as a goalie. Riley has been passionate about math and stats his whole life, and is particularly interested in statistical testing, ranking systems, and sports analytics. When he’s not working, Riley plays for the Carleton Field Hockey team, plays video games, and reads.

Yusuf

Assistant Centre Director
Yusuf Ibrahim is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering at Carleton University. Yusuf has always enjoyed working with kids with a background as a swim instructor as well as a lifeguard. Yusuf was also volunteering as a tutor all throughout High School. He is dedicated to making sure that students are not only learning but also enjoying the learning experience, by using fun visual aids and making genuine connections with the student. Yusuf tries to understand each student’s unique perspective and tailors his teaching styles accordingly.

Megan

Bilingual Instructor
Megan-Alexa studied Computer Science at the University of Ottawa throughout her first year. She is currently an instructor at Mathnasium of Findlay Creek. She has gained years of experience tutoring students at elementary and intermediate levels of study in a variety of subjects, such as French, English, Math, and Science. Megan aims to leverage her passion for effective and creative communication to promote student learning outcomes. Otherwise, Megan engages in creative writing and brand marketing.

Tina

Instructor
Tina graduated from Queen’s University with a MSc in Neuroscience. She has been tutoring Math since she was in high school. She enjoys helping kids and teaching them new Math tricks to make the subject easier. Tina is also passionate about science. She is planning on pursuing Medical School this coming September.

Ziad

Instructor
Ziad is currently pursuing computer science at Carleton University and is about to study his first year. He is currently an instructor at the Findlay Creek Mathnasium center, he has gained experience of tutoring over the years by joining various math clubs and competitions in high schools, he has had various experiences with kids and running activities for students to engage in. Ziad loves studying and discussing mathematical concepts and enjoys encouraging students to do the same.
