Alana

Centre Director

Alana opened the doors to our Kelowna location in February 2021 and has been with Mathnasium since 2016. Her goal is to help students build confidence and self-efficacy by learning math in a way that makes sense to them. She prioritizes building a fun, safe and encouraging environment and recognizes the importance of meeting the emotional needs of a student in order to facilitate great learning. Her hope is that the students that attend Mathnasium move into their community confidently as people who value a strong work ethic, a positive mindset, and are not afraid to ask for support.

Lindsay

Assistant Centre Director & Lead Math Instructor

Lindsay joined Mathnasium in April 2021. She holds an Elementary Education degree from UBCO and has over 10 years of tutoring experience. Lindsay enjoys working at Mathnasium because the curriculum builds math skills in a way that isn't possible in the classroom and has long-lasting effects on students' understanding and confidence!

Poppy

Math Instructor

Poppy is an engineering graduate from UBCO. She loves teaching math to all different levels of students. What she likes most about working at Mathnasium is being a part of a team that works to build math skills in children. She really enjoys spending time with the kids in the centre. She joined our team in May 2021.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
