Students... all were EAGER to try out all activities and learn.
Parents... SURVIVED the challenges we had planned.

What was this event?

On May 29th, 2026, Mathnasium of Langley held this event for enrolled students (- and their friends! -) with activities focused on financial literacy (aka. money). The goal was have fun while learning about "funds".

What about financial literacy?

We had activities focused on:

• Borrowing - what happens when you borrow money (and to make wise decision when borrowing)
• Earning - what earning means, and how to earn money
• Saving - problem-solving when to save and when to spend
• Budgeting - prioritizing needs
• Spending - stocks challenge

Takeaways?

Our goal was to help kids have fun while learning about finances. Yes. "Finances" and "fun" CAN coexist! Everyone was engaged, respectful, and excited to try out every activity. Thanks to everyone who showed up to make this a learning experience to remember.
