Best decision I ever made for my child. He had no confidence in math and Mathnasium Richmond Hill helped him build his confidence and build actual math skills. I noticed a remarkable difference in his ability to do his own homework. The instructors are extremely patient and give positive reinforcement. Our son is shy and has actually made good working relationships with his instructors. I highly recommend this location of Mathnasium and I will continue to recommend Mathnasium to students that are struggling so they may build great math skills and confidence.

Math has always been my son’s weakest subject — he absolutely hated it. For years, his grades hovered between barely passing and the low 60s. We tried all sorts of home tutors, and while some helped him avoid failing, his marks never really improved. As math got harder from Grade 8 to Grade 9, he stayed stuck in the same range. What made it even more frustrating was that my son often felt he knew the answers, but his test results told a different story. Tutors would say he understood the material and was ready, yet his grades didn’t reflect that. Some didn’t review his homework thoroughly, and a few even left early from sessions. We had always known about Mathnasium, but we hesitated — it cost more, and we worried my son might find it too strict or boring. By the end of Grade 9, with only three weeks left in the school year and his average sitting at 62%, we decided we had nothing to lose. In just those three weeks, Mathnasium helped my son raise his average to 72%. We kept him enrolled over the summer, and now in Grade 10, the change is remarkable. He finds math “quite easy,” has already scored 100% on a test, and feels confident he can keep his grades high. Yes, Mathnasium is more expensive than other options we’ve tried — but it’s worth every penny. Math is such a critical subject for future college, university, and career opportunities, and the results speak for themselves. We only wish we had made the switch sooner.

Our 9 year old son explored different math tutoring options in the local area and was adamant about attending Mathnasium Newmarket. Having spent time in the waiting area I can see why he enjoys spending 2 hours a week here. The admin staff and tutors are engaging, knowledgeable and positive. The program is tailored to him: filling gaps where needed and expanding upon topics that he has mastered- all in line with the Ontario curriculum. He is driven by a clever incentive program and enjoys mini breaks where he plays table top games with peers. We are incredibly happy that we chose to drive a little further (explored other options closer to home) for the right environment for our son!

I would highly recommend Oak Ridges Mathnasium. Tania, the owner is legitimately the best teacher/mentor to the students. The whole team fosters an environment for learning math in a fun and tailored way to get the best results out of your child. My son gets frustrated when he doesn't understand something. They worked their magic. Now, he loves math. His confidence in math is off the roof.

Mathnasium has been a great experience for my son in grade 2. He has made a lot of gains in his skills and even better, in his confidence too. Even his classroom teachers are noticing the difference! The staff at Mathnasium Richmond Hill are so wonderful and supportive!

Kids seem to immediately connect with the instructors which is a huge positive. This is my second time going back to Mathnesium for my Son and I see a lot more flexibility and intent than first time. Content is structured to make the kids think rather than be robotic in their approach which I believe is key. Overall great team, great content and good execution.

We have been with Mathnasium for 1.5 years. We love the program. My kid enjoys the sessions. Particularly, he found it interesting to be challenged at his own pace. The classroom is clean and bright. The staff are kind and very accessible for discussion. As a parent, I found it helpful with the flexibility the program offers, which makes so much easier to deal with the busy schedule. We have been through multiple math programs during the last seven or eight years. And this is definitely our favorite one. Highly recommended!

My son is enjoying learning proper techniques & writing numbers and shapes every sessions. He loves to counts & he’s only 4 years old. Whenever we’re in groceries or seeing a numbers he will try reading the prices and that makes me happy knowing that he’s learning a lot! Teacher’s is so passionate and so much patience in teaching. I am very happy with my daughter’s math classes. She is in Grade 5 and was struggling with math before, and her confidence was quite low. However, since she started working with Tahereh, we have seen a significant improvement. Tahereh’s patient and clear teaching style has helped her understand the concepts much better and build a stronger foundation. What makes me especially grateful is that not only have her grades improved, but her interest and enthusiasm for math have also grown noticeably. We truly appreciate Tahereh’s dedication and support, and I highly recommend her to any student who needs help strengthening their math skills.

Honestly the best experience I’ve had with a tutor. They create a very warm and welcoming space where you feel comfortable to learn. They also offer up more time out of there day just to help those in need on many occasions. Jay and Susan were both amazing to me. Thank you for everything you guys have done a lot for me.

We have had a wonderful experience with Mathnasium. Since joining, my son has gained a great deal of confidence in his math skills and is now able to work through his assignments much more independently. The instructors are supportive, patient, and make learning enjoyable. We have also noticed significant academic growth. He is performing ahead of many children in his age group and approaches new math concepts with confidence and enthusiasm. As soon as I entered the centre, I was immediately attended to and got my child a free assessment. The staff is so kind and polite. It’s been almost two months now and I am so delighted to see my child grow and succeed in mathematics.
