Yani Pratiwi

Community Outreach Director/Owner
Yani, a former Management Consultant, brings extensive expertise to the Mathnasium centre in Red Deer. With a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an MBA in General Management from the University of Adelaide, she has worked with esteemed global consulting firms including Deloitte, BearingPoint, and Hay Group (now Korn Ferry). Driven by her passion for children's education, Yani is devoted to introducing the proven Mathnasium method to the community. As a mother of three, including a beloved fur daughter, she understands the importance of creating an engaging classroom environment that allows students to thrive and develop a love for math.

Kiefer

Instructor

Kiefer is in his first year of Mechanical Engineering at Red Deer Polytechnic. He graduated from Hunting Hills High School with Honours with Distinction every semester, achieving near-perfect scores in all math courses from Math 10 to Math 31 and 35 AP. Besides math, he’s also passionate about playing the drums — and guess what else? Developing purebred Shorthorn herd! How cool is that?

Atlantis

Instructor

Atlantis holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Calgary and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Education in Secondary Science at the same university. A small-town girl from Innisfail, she enjoys hiking with her loyal buddy, Charlie. Throughout her educational journey, she has conducted extensive research on numeracy and firmly believes in the importance of math literacy and numeracy skills in students' education.

Raka

Instructor

Raka is our online instructor, a University of Alberta – School of Business graduate who works at the global accounting firm RSM Canada. He believes that if Mathnasium had been around when he was younger, his math journey would have been more fun, and he could have learned math smarter, not harder. His passion for working with children drove him to volunteer at an Edmonton elementary school, teaching math and music.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
