Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Assistant Director
Niloufar is pursuing a B.Sc in Physics at the University of Saskatchewan and considering a minor in Computer Science. The reason Nilou likes science (math included) is that she believes it is powerful and helps us to understand our universe. She chose to be an instructor because of her enjoyment of explaining things and helping people. Nilou is always interested to learn about cultures, history, and languages. She also likes swimming and cooking. Her motto: Be kind.

Lead Instructor
Ogee has finished her degree in Physiology and Pharmacology at the UofS. When it comes to math, she really likes probability - because if you don't know it, there's a chance you might like it if you try it!

Leah Instructor
Once upon a time, Ronin didn't love math - then he became a Mathnasium student and loved it so much he became a Mathnasium instructor! We love that Ronin knows our program inside out and is able to share his passion and experience with our students. Ask me about music!

Lead Instructor
When you meet Rubin, he will undoubtedly be sporting a huge smile! Rubin is working on his bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics at the University of Saskatchewan. When he's not studying or at Mathnasium, he can be found watching 'Friends' reruns, or coding for fun. Ask me about shoes!

Lead Instructor
Baven has completed his degree in bioinformatics. He works with Mathnasium students in-centre and online. Baven is especially skilled at explaining high school concepts. Ask me about music!

Georgina is studying Kinesiology at the UofS. She is also playing on the women's Huskie soccer team. She has always loved math and has a passion for helping explain math concepts to kids. When she's not at school or soccer practice you can find her baking cookies or going for walks by the river.

Carolyn is all about learning and helping illuminate difficult topics for students of all ages. With over 30 years of experience teaching in secondary and upper elementary classrooms, she brings an incredible breadth of experience to the Mathnasium team. Carolyn has taught level 30 biology, accounting, and mathematics as well as middle school science. She has earned her BSc in Education and an MA in Biology; she continues to stretch her knowledge and capacity by studying Archaeology at the UofS.

Having teachers for parents, Hunter has always had a love of learning and helping math make sense to others. She is currently a university student working towards a Bachelor of Commerce. When she's not at Mathnasium, you can find Hunter volunteering at her church, watching Parks & Rec, or playing with her dog.

Elementary Instructor
Kassandra works with our youngest students to teach math in a way that makes sense to kids! Kassandra earned 5 years of experience as a Mathnasium student before joining our staff - and her enthusiasm is palpable even to our online students. She has grown to love math and loves helping other students learn to love it too. When Kassandra isn't at Mathnasium she'll be spending her time dancing, biking, reading, or walking her dogs.

Elementary Instructor
Affaan has loved math since a young age and his passion for math & science has inspired him to work with our youngest students supporting them in their math journeys. Not so long ago Affaan was a Mathnasium student himself! Now he is studying Kinesiology at the UofS. When he's not at Mathnasium or school Affaan enjoys doing research at the UofS labs, playing soccer & basketball, and spending time with family.

Nathan Windels

Nathan is the Owner of Mathnasium of Saskatoon. Nathan has both a B.Eng. and M.Eng. from the University of Saskatchewan, and while at the UofS, he received several NSERC research scholarships as well as Graduate Teaching Fellowships to teach a general engineering course at the UofS for two consecutive years. Although involved in many extra-curricular activities and competitions, the highlight of his involvement at the UofS was being a part of the USST during NASA's space elevator centennial challenge. Nathan is married with four kids. Watching students struggle in math prompted him to begin his journey to the discovery of the Mathnasium Method. He is dedicated to helping the children and teens of the Saskatoon community and across the province truly understand math by teaching it in ways that make sense to them.

Leah Windels

As a mom of four busy kids, Leah knows being a parent is no easy task. She has also seen first-hand the impact a program like Mathnasium can have on homework time, children's attitudes, and family dynamics. Leah works mostly in the background making sure that payments are processed as efficiently as possible. Leah also does a great job picking fun items for the Mathnasium Prize cabinet, and likes going on adventures with her puppy.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
