My 8-year old son just loves Mathnasium and all the wonderful educators and staff!! He asks to go everyday and looks forward to it every time he goes. A tremendous confidence boost this been for him as he now looks forward to all math learning. I recommend this program for anyone looking to work on or get further ahead in math learning.

I am very happy with my daughter’s math classes. She is in Grade 5 and was struggling with math before, and her confidence was quite low. However, since she started working with Tahereh, we have seen a significant improvement. Tahereh’s patient and clear teaching style has helped her understand the concepts much better and build a stronger foundation. Our son attended Mathnasium, and the improvement we’ve seen has been amazing. Before joining, he struggled with math and didn’t enjoy it at all. After just a few months, he improved from a Grade 2 level to a Grade 5 level. Even more importantly, he gained confidence and now truly enjoys math. We are very grateful to all the tutors for their patience, encouragement, and support. They created a positive learning environment that made a huge difference for our son.

Our son (Grade 8) was quite behind in math and was having a lot of trouble in class. We started with Mathnasium and within a few weeks he started showing improvement. We knew we were on the right track with Mathnasium when he remarked 'I feel a lot more confident with math now.' He likes the instructors a lot and I never have to fight with my son to get him to Mathnasium. I really like how flexible the session times are. I've changed time slots with just a few minutes out and it was never a problem. It's expensive, but since we're seeing results and improvement I consider the cost an investment. All in all, I think going with Mathnasium was a winner. UPDATE - After 4 months we've seen quite the change in my son. He's enthusiastic about math, doesn't dread math class anymore, and has a healthy amount of confidence for math. He attended Mathnasium 3 times a week and bonded with several of the instructors. One of the things I really like is that it's possible to double-up on sessions. My son actually enjoyed doing double sessions of two hours one day and one hour the next. By bringing in classwork or preparation material for a test he could get a good understanding of the core concepts and breathe easier on test day. I'm certain parents are reading this and wondering if the $$ necessary to attend Mathnasium is worth it, because it IS on the pricey side to go there. I would say this... we used to get calls from my son's math teacher sounding alarms about how far behind he was. Now we get friendly emails about how much he's progressed and how proud she is of him. We don't have to sit down and have talks with our son about his math grades anymore. He's not quiet and inside his own head before school on the days he has math tests anymore. So for our family the cost was 100% worth it. There's nothing that ruins my day more than seeing one of my kids suffer. My son was suffering with math. He's not anymore. He actually enjoys math now. That's the most glowing justification I'm capable of giving.

My son has been attending Mathnasium for two years and enjoys every bit of it. It’s hard to imagine an 11 year olds excited about math class but he is, and appreciates how the program is tailored towards his progress, and he gets to revisit areas that he really needs help the most and do less practices on areas that he already mastered. As a parent, I like the flexibility that this centre offers in terms of scheduling, as well as the monthly updates they provide me.

They have a rewards system which is really motivating for her and she's so proud when she gets an A+ sheet on the board in the front! We would definitely recommend Mathnasium !!

Our kids have been attending Forest Hill Mathnasium for several years now. We had tried a different math program before Mathnasium for one of our kids, but it was quite rigid and time consuming. Our kiddo was incredibly stressed by it and seemed to be getting more frustrated with math, not less. Mathnasium was such a breath of fresh air and has instilled such confidence on our kids. They happily subscribe to the philosophy that there are many correct ways to solve an equation. They are capable of constantly assessing each kid to see where the kid can sail through an area that is easy peasy for them, and where more thoughtful revision is needed. Best of all, while my kids may be grouchy when leaving the house for math, what’s astounding is that every single time we see them AFTER math, they are in high spirits. Somehow, the lovely teachers at Mathnasium, with their patience, humour, sweetness, and excellent teaching skills are always lifting my kids up. We have had a very positive experience with Mathnasium. Our teen struggles with math and it has always been a battle, but she seems to genuinely enjoy her time at Mathnasium and never complains about going (a miracle!). We've seen steady improvements in her math abilities and subsequently, in her confidence. My daughter's math skills and confidence have improved more than I ever could've expected in 4 short months. She's already gone from a low level 2 in gr 4 math to a consistent level 3 in grade 5.
