Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Aarsh P

Instructor

Aarsh is pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Alberta. A lifelong math enthusiast, he has represented his school in Math Olympiads and enjoys exploring connections between math, physics, and computer science.

At Mathnasium, Aarsh makes math engaging and accessible by focusing on understanding the “why” behind every concept. His calm, encouraging approach helps students build confidence and curiosity. Outside of teaching, Aarsh enjoys programming, exploring machine learning, and finding creative ways to apply math to real-world problems.

Tirth S

Instructor

Tirth is an undergraduate Physics student at the University of Alberta with a strong passion for understanding the universe through mathematics and quantum mechanics. His enthusiasm for making math meaningful and engaging shines through in his work with students.

With tutoring experience in both math and English, Tirth has developed a clear, patient, and creative teaching approach. He helps students break down complex problems into simple, logical steps and enjoys connecting math concepts to real-world physics examples. His positive energy and ability to motivate learners make him a great fit for the Mathnasium Method.

This term, Tirth continues his studies in Physics and Mathematics while applying his curiosity and problem-solving mindset in the centre. His goal is to help every student think critically and build confidence — seeing math not just as a subject, but as a valuable tool for life.

Outside the classroom, Tirth enjoys exploring astrophysics projects, coding in Python, and diving deeper into quantum mechanics. He is always eager to learn, teach, and inspire others to discover the beauty in both science and numbers.

Alivia Sharpe

Instructor

Alivia’s advanced mathematical ability is readily apparent. As an Honours with Distinction student in Advanced Placement Calculus, she demonstrates a strong capacity to connect abstract concepts to meaningful, real-world applications. She is also deeply committed to supporting her peers, often taking the initiative to clarify complex ideas and make them more accessible to others.

Through the Mathnasium Method, Alivia emphasizes conceptual understanding by exploring the reasoning behind mathematical processes, helping students build deeper comprehension and confidence. She plans to pursue medical diagnostic imaging in her post-secondary studies and continues to challenge herself academically through a strong drive to expand her knowledge.

Outside of academics and teaching, Alivia enjoys staying active at the gym and spending time with friends, maintaining a healthy balance between her personal and academic life. She has a particular interest in physics and is passionate about understanding how mathematical and scientific principles explain the world around us.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
