Tom Liu earned a Bachelor of Science from Brandon University with a major in Mathematics, graduating with great distinction. His favorite topics include complex variables, while he found real analysis the most challenging and rewarding area of study.
Tom believes that success in math comes from practice and independent thinking. He encourages students to take an active role in their learning and enjoys helping them build both skills and confidence in the subject.

Owner/Centre Director
Michael Erkau holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and taught in Manitoba for eight years before transitioning to a career in the IT industry. His experience in both education and the private sector has deepened his understanding of how critical math skills are in today’s world.
As a father of three, Michael is passionate about helping children develop confidence through learning. He believes Mathnasium’s unique approach makes math both fun and meaningful, and he’s committed to helping every student reach their full potential through personalized, engaging instruction.
