Morgan (Mo) is the Owner and Director of Mathnasium of Eugene. Prior to opening the center in 2020, Mo's managerial experience includes Financial Manager at Sundance Natural Foods & Wine Cellars, Marketing Manager at Blue Lake Casino, and in the online education (e-Learning) industry: Item Development Manager at Avant Assessment, and Rater Manager at Diglossia. He also launched 2 language programs at 2 universities, a newspaper, a food truck, 2 restaurants, and a polling website. In California, Mo earned a Bachelor in Finance, an MBA in Marketing and in Sustainability, a Minor in Computers, and a teaching certificate, prior to teaching at the University of Oregon for 4 years. Having benefited from years of math tutoring as a child, Mo is enthusiastic about helping children in the Eugene-Springfield community to truly understand math by teaching it in a way that makes sense to them. He has taught and coached children for over a quarter of a century, and he is committed to bringing the Mathnasium method to the children in his community. Mo is fluent in 5 languages, and has 2 kids who graduated from 4J's French immersion program after experiencing the pandemic during middle school. He also coaches tennis at Eugene YMCA, and used to coach soccer at Eugene Timbers, and enjoys playing the flute and drums at public events.
Antonio graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor in Mathematics and a Minor in Physics. He was born and raised in Oregon, and has tutored math in high school then in college. In his free time, Antonio enjoys playing board games and video games, making home movies with friends, and going on road trips.
Cooper grew up and graduated from high school in California, and is now pursuing his Master's in Computer Science at the University of Oregon, where he also received his Bachelor's of Science in Math. He has always loved math since he was young, and has been enjoying helping kids find that same passion. In his free time, Cooper enjoys playing basketball and volleyball.
Katie graduated from Black Hills State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Minor in Art. She has been tutoring and teaching math to students of all ages since 2019. Katie has a passion for research, specifically seeking overlaps between math and the arts. Heralding from Wyoming, she brought her love of the outdoors with her to the West Coast, and in her free time, Katie enjoys playing with her dog, hiking, camping, crafting, painting, and exploring Eugene's local art scene.
Loren is studying at the University of Oregon. She graduated from high school in Florida, where she taught at a Mathnasium center during her senior year, and discovered her passions for math and teaching, after being a Mathnasium student there for 5 years prior. Outside her work and classes, Loren enjoys hanging out with friends and playing videogames.
Minami is currently pursuing a major in Neuroscience at the University of Oregon, and plans to attend medical school after completing her undergraduate studies. Since she was little, she has always loved math, before she started tutoring physics and SAT/ACT prep, and hopes to bring the same passion and enthusiasm to the Mathnasium students. In her free time, Minami enjoys hiking and playing videogames.
Theo is a University of Oregon student majoring in Computer Science, Political Science, and Math. Originally from Portland, he has worked as a math and physics tutor and teaching assistant, and he thrives when supporting students across all grade levels.
He brings curiosity, creativity, and leadership to every lesson. Theo enjoys participating in mock trials and hackathons, and in his free time, he climbs, bikes, and plays both piano and guitar.
Zane is studying Mathematics and Sociology at the University of Oregon. A lifelong math and coding enthusiast from Los Angeles, he now shares his love for teaching as both a children’s swim instructor and Mathnasium tutor.
He enjoys connecting with students and helping them see math as fun and accessible. Outside of tutoring, Zane likes to play tennis, jam with friends, and read in his free time.
Anuska is a student at Sheldon High School, and will be an incoming Junior in 2025. She is enrolled in the IHS (International High School) program, and is planning on graduating with the IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma in 2027. She loves learning new things and has completed advanced math courses such as AP Statistics. She is Junior Captain of Sheldon’s Colorguard team, an active member of NHS, and also enjoys music and takes part in Sheldon’s Choir and Theater programs. In her spare time, she loves to read and travel with her family.
Ellie is a student at South Eugene High School with an avid interest in math and learning, and will be a junior in summer 2024 when she takes over her brother Timmy's position at our center. She is enrolled in the IHS (International High School) program, and the French Immersion Program, planning on graduating with the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma in 2026. In her free time, Ellie enjoys drawing, playing piano like her brother, and playing on the South Varsity tennis team.
Samy is Mo's son. He graduated from South Eugene High School in 2025, and now studies Computers at LCC. He was a Mathnasium student since we launched our center in June 2020 until his high school graduation. He was also a "Frenchie" in the French immersion program in the IHS (International High School) program. With his dad, Samy likes to ski, and play tennis, soccer, and chess. His favorite hobbies are building computers, filming, and playing videogames.
Yasmine is Mo's daughter. She graduated from South Eugene High School in 2023, and now studies Architecture in France. She was a Mathnasium student since we launched our center in June 2020 until high school graduation. She was also a "Frenchie" in the French immersion program in the IHS (International High School) program. Yasmine competes in gymnastics, and has been coaching gymnastics to kids at NAAG for over 3 years. She also likes to ski, play tennis at YMCA, and play chess with her dad. Her favorite hobby is music, and she loves to play the piano, violin, guitar, ukulele, and the drums.
