Morgan Jemmali, Center Director
Mo is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Eugene. Prior to opening his Mathnasium center, Mo's managerial experience includes Financial Manager at Sundance Natural Foods & Wine Cellars, Marketing Manager at Blue Lake Casino, and in the online education (e-Learning) industry: Item Development Manager at Avant Assessment, and Rater Manager at Diglossia. He also launched 2 language programs at 2 universities, a newspaper, a food truck, 2 restaurants, and a polling website. In California, Mo earned a Bachelor in Finance, an MBA in Sustainability, a Minor in Computers, and a teaching certificate, prior to teaching at the University of Oregon for 4 years. Having benefited from years of math tutoring as a child, Mo is enthusiastic about helping every child in the Eugene-Springfield community to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. He has taught and coached children of all ages for over 2 decades, and he is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in his community. Mo is fluent in 5 languages, and has 2 kids in the French immersion programs at Roosevelt Middle School and South Eugene High School. He also coaches tennis at Eugene YMCA and soccer at Eugene Timbers, and plays 2 musical instruments at public events.
Eli Ablow, Instructor
As a National Merit Scholarship Finalist from South Eugene's International Baccalaureate program, Eli is now a rising sophomore at Yale University, pursuing degrees in both Economics and History. A member of the Yale Undergraduate Diversified Investment Group, a managing editor of the Ivy Journal of Economics and Politics, and a commercial real estate summer analyst at a Chicago based firm, Eli is involved in projects utilizing data and math to address real-world problems, including at the University of Oregon. Eli is also a violist in the Yale Davenport POPS Orchestra, after mentoring an elementary school community orchestra, where he helped students develop their musical abilities. He also coached a middle school debate team. Eli believes that math has applications in every part of life, and is working with Mathnasium to make learning math as enjoyable for other kids as it has been for him. He's also an avid skier and tennis player.
Rachel Finkle, Instructor
Rachel earned a college scholarship after graduating from South Eugene with 4.0 GPA and the State Honors Recognition, as she strives for mastery in all areas of study. She's now pursuing a degree in Nursing. Rachel also works with Mo at the Eugene YMCA Family tennis center, where she has been coaching tennis to children of all ages for over 2 years. She strongly believes in education as an essential path for personal growth, and wishes to enforce those values on the tennis court as well as in a math classroom setting. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys playing tennis, running, reading, and learning how to cook her favorite meals.
Kiara Skalnes, Instructor
Kiara graduated from South Eugene as a member of the National Honors Society, and received the State Honors Recognition. She is in enrolled in Barnard College of Columbia University to earn a degree in Computer Science and its applications to medicine. Kiara has spent most of her high school career working with children seeking asylum in her community through JusticeKids, a non-profit organization that she founded. She was also the secretary of South Eugene's Theater and was on South’s cross country team for 2 years. In her free time, Kiara likes to bake, read books, and play tennis with her mom.
Kiwi White, Instructor
Kiwi graduated from South Eugene with the National Honors Society, and was a National Merit Commended Scholar, an AP Scholar with Honors, and a 4J Honors Diploma recipient. Due to the pandemic, she transferred from the University of Michigan to attend the Oregon State University Honors College and pursue a major in Pre Med Chemistry. During high school, Kiwi took Multivariable Calculus at the University of Oregon, and was the Vice President of South Eugene's American Red Cross club. Having played the piano for 13 years, she also received 5 awards from the Oregon Music Teachers Association. Kiwi worked with kids in her high school's daycare, and while on her school's basketball team, she also helped host basketball camps for children. Kiwi likes math because she enjoys how it has many important practical implications for life and the planet, and believes that, when given the right help, every child can discover a love for math.

Our instructors are trained to use a unique combination of mental, verbal, visual, tactile, & written techniques in our education strategy. Mathnasium's proprietary curriculum focuses on helping kids build their number sense so they truly understand math.
