At Mathnasium, we help kids understand math by teaching the way that makes sense to them. Children who consistently attend sessions at our learning centers enjoy a transformative learning experience and make huge strides in the classroom.
Attitude: When math makes sense, kids develop a more positive attitude toward math.
Understanding: Mathnasium teaches for understanding, giving students the ability to succeed in any math environment. As Larry Martinek, Mathnasium’s Chief Instructional Officer notes, “It's pretty easy to forget things you memorize and near impossible to forget things you understand."
School Progress: When kids learn math in a way that they truly understand, they achieve greater success in the classroom.

Our son Tyler was struggling in 8th grade math but excelling in all of his other classes. As parents we were concerned that he was not grasping and understanding this particular subject. That's when we enrolled him in Mathnasium in Skokie. The tutors were exceptional and very knowledgeable. They did not demoralize him when he made mistakes and encouraged him when challenged. Their approach to teaching was able to help him overcome the anxiety he often experienced when faced with an unfamiliar math problem. We noticed an immediate improvement in his math skills and he is now more confident when solving math problems. I recommend Mathnasium to anyone who needs help with math.

Thank you for helping my nine year old son, Max, succeed in math. When Max finished third grade, he was struggling with math and had lost his confidence. Since he has been attending Mathnasium, his attitude towards math has totally changed. He now enjoys being challenged by math. The environment at the center with Sammy and Ben makes math "cool" and fun. In just a short time, Max has gone from struggling with his times tables to learning long division. I also appreciate all of the kindness and understanding that I see you exude when you talk with your students. Please feel free to have any parents of prospective students contact me at the number below if they would like to discuss Mathnasium with me in further detail.

Dear the entire Mathnasium staff,
When we decided to send our daughter, Blimi, to Mathnasium, we were not sure what to expect. We knew she needed help with her math, and we were willing to try it out. Six months later, not only has Blimi caught up to her class in math, but she now has a self confidence in all aspects of her academic and social life. Mathnasium has not only had an unbelievable success in training her the correct way to look at math, but the dedicated teachers have also given her a tremendous sense of confidence in herself. We are grateful for both of these accomplishments, and will wholeheartedly recommend Mathnasium to others. We wish all of you continued success.

Thanks so much for providing me with tutoring services for preparing for the ICTS Math Content Test exam for Illinois state teacher certification! You did a great job of accommodating a busy mom trying to go back to school.
Ben did a great job of helping / teaching / coaching / encouraging! The exam was hard but for the questions I worked on, I feel confident that I solved most correctly.
Thanks so much! You DO make math make sense!
I just received my TerraNova test results and improved by 18%!! Thank you so much for all the help you have given me! And now that I reached the 94th percentile in math I will be able to attend the Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University - a program I've been trying to get into for a while. Thank you!
I wanted to let you know that Kinsey got her ISAT tests back for last year (meaning her 5th grade year) and for the first time in her life her math scores were higher than her reading score. Further, and a first for her, she "Exceeded Standards" in math. I feel very strongly this test result would not have happened had she not been at Mathnasium so THANK YOU!!!!! She was just beaming and so proud of herself.
My husband and I are so proud of Robyn’s accomplishments. We believe that her feeling of success at Mathnasium has been carried over to her ability to work harder toward her other subjects.
We thank all the tutors who have guided Robyn throughout the years .
Thank you :)
