I have always believed that math is so much more than just numbers on a page, it's a superpower for understanding the world! For the past 25 years, I’ve had the exciting opportunity to put math into action at a massive scale, working with probabilities, statistics, budgeting, and financial literacy for large operations. My academic journey backed this up with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Claremont McKenna College, followed by an MBA with a Finance concentration from the University of Redlands.
When I’m not diving head first into data, you can find me enjoying any kind of puzzle game, logic game, or card game I can get my hands on. I also have a passion for sports, a love that I now get to share and bond over with my son. I’m thrilled to bring that same energy, fun, and logic to our center, helping students discover just how exciting and powerful math can be!

I hold dual teaching credentials, a master’s degree in Education and Technology, and a second master’s degree in Mathematics. I enjoy breaking math down into clear, simple steps and using visuals and hands‑on strategies to help students understand tough concepts. I am a first generation student and a recent graduate of University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Physics and am currently studying for a Master’s in Astronautical Engineering at the University of Southern California. I use math every single day of my life through school work, internships and beyond, and understand the importance math plays in every part of life. As a tutor since my first year of community college, and as a tutee myself for most class I’ve taken, I also understand the importance of the role of a tutor in both math and life skills. If a student is struggling or simply looking to keep up in their math class, Mathnasium will build upon what they already know, addressing their learning gaps and teaching math in a way that makes sense to them.
Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout.
