I have always believed that math is so much more than just numbers on a page, it's a superpower for understanding the world! For the past 25 years, I’ve had the exciting opportunity to put math into action at a massive scale, working with probabilities, statistics, budgeting, and financial literacy for large operations. My academic journey backed this up with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Claremont McKenna College, followed by an MBA with a Finance concentration from the University of Redlands.
When I’m not diving head first into data, you can find me enjoying any kind of puzzle game, logic game, or card game I can get my hands on. I also have a passion for sports, a love that I now get to share and bond over with my son. I’m thrilled to bring that same energy, fun, and logic to our center, helping students discover just how exciting and powerful math can be!
I am incredibly passionate about helping children achieve academic success, especially when it comes to the magic of math! With a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration from UNLV, I’ve dedicated my career to creating positive personal connections and experiences with families. I truly believe that every single child can excel when they are given the right support, encouragement, and opportunities to learn.
For me, math is a powerful doorway to building a student's confidence, strengthening their skills, and helping them reach their full potential. My main focus is always on student success, enrollment, and building strong engagement with our families. I’m thrilled to be part of this journey, helping our students unlock doors to a bright future - one confident smile and math breakthrough at a time!
My name is Yuki, nice to meet you! I'm a fourth year honor student at UC Irvine majoring in Business Economics with a minor in Accounting. I've been tutoring math for nearly 5 years and I wholeheartedly believe in the impact that can be created with a well versed, but light-hearted teaching style.
Hello! My name is Esther, and I graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2025 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. Throughout college, I worked as a math tutor for elementary and middle school students, where I discovered how much I enjoy helping children build confidence and strengthen their problem-solving skills. It has been incredibly rewarding to watch students grow, and I am excited to continue that journey as part of the Mathnasium team!
Hello, my name is Ricardo, nice to meet you! I’ve worked as an Education Specialist across several school districts, helping students build confidence and skills in math. As a first‑generation college graduate, I truly believe every student can grow with the right support. I hold dual teaching credentials, a master’s degree in Education and Technology, and a second master’s degree in Mathematics. I enjoy breaking math down into clear, simple steps and using visuals and hands‑on strategies to help students understand tough concepts. My goal is to make math feel doable, approachable, and even enjoyable for every learner who walks through the door. I’m looking forward to working with you!
I grew up in Taiwan, and for most of my early years, math was anything but easy. I struggled through it without the right teachers to guide me, and it often felt like math just wasn't for me. That all changed in high school, when I finally had instructors who helped me build the right habits and learning strategies. What used to frustrate me became something I actually enjoyed. That experience is why I'm here. I know firsthand what it's like to feel lost in math, and I know how helpful it can be to have someone break it down in a way that finally makes sense. Outside of the Mathnasium, I'm working toward a business and finance degree.
