Qasim Beg PhD
Owner and Director
Dr. Beg brings over 20 years of systems microbiology research and teaching experience, including teaching microbiology and infectious-disease courses at Boston University. He holds a PhD in Microbiology and has used mathematical and statistical modeling to analyze large lab datasets. At Mathnasium, he is passionate about helping every child understand core math concepts, encouraging creativity, independent thinking, and problem-solving from an early age.
Outside of education, Qasim enjoys racket sports, travel, and working out. He played hockey from middle school through college. His favorite thing about math is its infinite possibilities.
Harris
Center Director - Education lead
Harris is completing a Data Analytics degree online at Colorado Christian University and has always been passionate about math. He grew up in Arlington and frequently helped peers with assignments during high school and college. Before joining Mathnasium, he tutored high school students privately and now leads educational efforts at the center.
In his spare time, Harris enjoys disc golf, rollerblading, board games, and singing. He also repairs phones and electronics. His favorite thing about math is that it’s not just about answers—it’s a way of understanding the world.
Adil
CD - Finance and Marketing
Adil holds a Master’s in Finance and has over five years of experience teaching and tutoring math. He manages the center’s financial operations, monitors student progress, and supports instruction as needed. He values how math provides many different ways to approach and solve a problem, which helps students think critically.
His dual role at Mathnasium allows him to apply both his analytical and educational skills. Adil enjoys seeing students discover new methods and grow their confidence in math. He believes a strong foundation in math is key to lifelong learning.
Samantha
Instructor
Samantha is a special education teacher with four years of experience and has worked with students from kindergarten to sixth grade. She enjoys helping learners build confidence and discover strategies that make math fun and approachable. She is excited to bring her expertise to the Mathnasium classroom.
Outside of work, Samantha enjoys kayaking, crafting with her Cricut machine, and playing The Sims on Xbox. She collects nutcrackers and has over 100 in her collection. Her favorite thing about math is solving it like a puzzle. Her favorite math joke? “Not unless you Count Dracula.”

Fangfang holds an MS from Northeastern University and brings over three years of experience helping students overcome learning challenges. She’s passionate about teaching and committed to making math enjoyable for all students. Her approach is detail-oriented and focused on developing a positive mindset toward math.
She loves how math connects to everyday life—from budgeting to understanding scientific phenomena. In her free time, Fangfang enjoys swimming and constantly looks for ways to improve her teaching skills. Her favorite math joke is, “Swimmers love one kind of math more than all others—dive-ision!”
Vibhush
Instructor
Vibhush is a senior at Wilmington High, graduating in 2025. He is passionate about math and has competed and won awards in competitions like AIME, MAML, Math Kangaroo, and Math Olympiad. In addition to math, he enjoys playing basketball and running.
My favorite part about math: The idea that almost every formula and concept can be derived and reached intuitively.
Fun Fact: I once ran the milk mile in less than 6 minutes, where you run a mile and gradually drink a gallon of milk.
