Harris

Center Director - Education lead
Harris is finishing a Data Analytics degree online at Colorado Christian University. He grew up in Arlington and has always been passionate about math. Throughout high school and college, Harris regularly ended up helping his friends and classmates with their math assignments. He continued this passion by privately tutoring math to high schoolers in the area before starting at Mathnasium. In his free time, Harris likes to try new sports like disc golf and rollerblading, play board games, and sing.

Fun Fact: He likes to repair phones and other electronics.

My favorite thing about math: Math isn't just about getting the right answer in school. It's a way of understanding the world.

My favorite math joke: The "B" in Benoit B. Mandelbrot stands for "Benoit B. Mandelbrot".

Sam

Co-owner and Instructor
Sam completed her undergraduate degree with a major in Statistics and minor in Math and Physics, followed by completing a 2-year Computational Mathematics course at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Math was always her strong point during school and college years. Being the eldest of four kids in the family, she used to help her younger siblings with their math homework on daily basis, and now her son loves to work on his math homework with her all the time. She is passionate about interacting with kids with an ambition of self-learning, coaching, and contributing to helping her co-workers. She currently works for a cooperative Bank and her past experience include working for one of the largest Dunkin' franchise in the Boston for more than 8 years, where her role involved daily operations of Dunkin' stores in Seaport and Downtown Boston areas, and providing training to new employees of the company. Her hobbies include making crafts, workout, biking and cooking new recipes from different parts of the world.

My favorite thing about math: I find it very interesting how many different approaches can be used to solve mathematical problems, and how the problem answering makes mathematics more interesting.

My favorite math joke: What's the official animal of Pi day? The Pi-thon!
