On the Road With Moostachio - April

Jun 5, 2018 | Boerne

Moostachio here.......keeping it real.....keeping it local. After some serious fun and frolic throughout the region, I decided to stay a little closer to home this time. And what a great adventure I had. Did you know about Hill Country Family Services right here in Boerne?   Me neither!!! What a great organization led by a wonderful team of people. It turns out, periodically they need some volunteers to help them take care of the tasks of the day.  It is universally known that volunteerism within the Moose population is among the highest in the animal kingdom. The Badger gets all the credit, but I have found them to be a little selfish and only lend a hand if there is some publicity for them. Nope......the Moose is always there.

Well the day that I was there........some serious unloading needed to be done. I found moving the palettes was easier for me than some of my coworkers. These horns do possess some of the same properties of a forklift. My second task was to rearrange the walk-in freezer and take inventory. I bet you have never seen a Moose in a walk-in (no hunting jokes please......Moose on a grill is not funny!!!!). It was a bit of a tight fit, but we managed to get all items accounted for and arranged.   I, unlike some of my colleagues, found the colder temperature to be quite refreshing.

Well, after a long and wonderful day it was time to say goodbye to my new friends. Should you have a moment and have any interest, give them a call (830 249 8643), stop by (118 W. Advogt St), or check them out on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/HCFSBoerne/) and see if there is something you can do to lend a hand and join them in serving and supporting Kendall County .

Well that is all for now. I am off to my next adventure and will check in shortly. Until then, remember......do more math!!!
