Hey.......look who I found hanging out here in South Central Texas, it is my fellow Northerner, the Beaver. Imagine my surprise when during a BBQ run to Lockhart I ran into my old friend. It was great to catch-up and talk about old times in the land of the great north. As it turns out, we both have struggled with the summer heat......who would have thought? Whoever said that it is not the heat, it is the humidity was not being entirely truthful. I was astounded at what a celebrity that my little friend has become. T-shirts, hats, coffee mugs, and a variety of other items were adorned with his image. Thankfully. All of this fame and fortune has not changed him at all. After our all too short visit, it was time to proceed to the main event......a little Texas BBQ. When I walked in, I got the distinct impression that this was the first time they have ever seen a Moose in BBQ establishment. I am, if nothing else, a trend-setter. Well me and the crew had a wonderful experience taking in the history and essence of the proclaimed BBQ Capital of Texas. It was like stepping back in time and experiencing a part of traditional Texas culture. A truly delicious and educational experience, to say the least.
Well that is all for now. I am having a great time exploring Texas and look forward to the next chance to share my latest adventures. In the meantime, as always............do more Math.
Your favorite Moose on the Loose..................Moostachio.
