Alan Brown
District Director
Alan was born in Las Vegas but spent the majority of his educational career in Northern Nevada. He went to Spanish Springs High School, where he was a triathlete and earned his advanced & honors diploma. During his time there, he took almost every math class his high school offered and often tutored his fellow classmates. He then attended the University of Nevada, Reno in pursuit of a Biology degree. After completing his first year of college, he decided to transfer to UNLV to finish his undergraduate program. It was shortly after this transition that he became an instructor for Mathnasium. This opportunity allowed him to share his passion for teaching and mathematics. He was a lead instructor for three years while he earned his degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. He spent two years as a Center Director, where he shared his enthusiasm with the families at Mathnasium of Red Rock. Alan is now honored to serve all of our locations as District Director and continue changing lives through math.
Andrew Reese
Center Director
Born in Spokane, WA, and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Andrew Reese has always had a passion for sports, education, and mentorship. He grew up playing hockey and a variety of other sports, developing a strong work ethic and team-first mentality. With a mother who taught math for almost 30 years, education was always an important part of his life.
After spending five years as a teacher and coach, Andrew gained valuable experience in leadership and education, helping students grow both academically and athletically. His background in sports and teaching has shaped his approach to problem-solving and personal development. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and embracing new challenges on and off the course.
Amanda
Center Trainer
Amanda was raised as a military child and moved to Las Vegas in 2016 when her dad retired from the army. Amanda is currently a Speech and Language Pathology grad student at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She has always enjoyed teaching and has been with MATHnasium on and off since 2019. She remembers when her brother was a student with MATHnsaium and the way it helped him enjoy math. She also loves the support and care instructors show to students and each other. Outside of MATHnasium, some of her favorite things to do are read, write, and spend time with friends.
Marissa

Marissa is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is pursuing a major in electrical engineering and a minor in mathematics. She has had a passion for math since she was young and hopes to teach others math in a way that will help them not only understand it, but appreciate it as well. Alice
Instructor
When she perfected a cookie recipe through proportions, Alice realized a lot of cool activities—baking, dancing, painting, music, and poetry—require math. As a student, she often tutors her classmates, and aims to help her peers realize that there is more to numbers than worksheets and lectures. An aspiring pediatrician, Alice wants to pursue a career in helping children become the best version of themselves. For now, she spends her time playing with her band, baking for her friends, boxing, and writing poetry.

Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Pricing varies by program and geographic area. Contact our center for more details on enrollment packages.
We use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach which combines personalized learning plans with proven techniques to build math knowledge upon what students already know, so they're able to retain what they learn and gain confidence along the way.
No. All learning occurs under the efficient and effective guidance of our trained instructors. Adding homework would risk frustration and overload. In fact, we'll set aside some time each session to help your student with their school homework.
