Many of Philadelphia’s top public, charter, and private high schools require or strongly expect students to be ready for Algebra I.
Mathnasium Offers Pre-Algebra AND Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calc and SAT Test Prep
Pre-Algebra is the Gateway to Algebra I.
If Algebra I is required, Pre-Algebra mastery is non-negotiable.
Mathnasium can help students build the foundation, close gaps, and successfully complete Pre-Algebra and Algebra I—important milestones for students preparing for competitive high schools.
All students are assessed in Pre-Algebra first. If they have mastered 65% of Pre-Algebra, they are then eligible for our Algebra I program. Each program can take about 5 - 7 months to complete with 2 - 3x a week attendance. We do not offer 1x a week option.

Families can highlight in their student’s math application by noting that their student has completed Pre-Algebra and Algebra I at Mathnasium. We can walk you thru every concept your student will master with us.
