Francesco holds a strong academic foundation in Finance & Accounting from Villanova University, an MBA from Fordham University, and a Masters in Analytics from Villanova University. This unique combination of qualifications reflects his dedication to analytical thinking, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of numbers – skills that perfectly align with the mission of Mathnasium. At the heart of Francesco's diverse career is his passion for education, particularly mathematics. As a math instructor, he not only imparts knowledge but also fosters a warm and encouraging learning environment. His students can expect not only to grasp mathematical concepts but also to develop a genuine love for the subject. Francesco's warm demeanor and love of math create a unique and engaging learning experience. He understands the importance of tailoring his teaching approach to meet the individual needs of each student, making math accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Alex is planning to pursue graduate school and aims to stay in Philadelphia to achieve her long-term goal of earning a Ph.D. and becoming a professor. Alex is a Philadelphia native who grew up in Haverford, PA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science with a minor in Economics from the University of Delaware. With several years of experience as a reinsurance broker, Alex has developed a passion for teaching and mentoring. She is actively involved in a mentorship program, helping students balance school, work, and social life—a critical need in today's society. Alex joined Mathnasium driven by her love for math and her desire to inspire young learners. Her instructional skills include simplifying complex mathematical concepts, fostering problem-solving techniques, and creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Riley combines academic rigor with a passion for teaching. As a Computer Science and Mathematics major at Temple University, Riley brings both their technical expertise and their enthusiasm for math to the classroom. With an Associate's Degree in Psychology, Riley approaches teaching with a focus on empathy, understanding, and individualized instruction. Riley is committed to demystifying complex mathematical concepts, helping students of all levels build confidence and mastery. They understand the challenges students face, having once considered themselves "bad at math" before excelling in a math-intensive degree. This personal journey gives Riley valuable insight into fostering a growth mindset and creating a supportive learning environment. Known for their motto, "It's not too hard, you just don't know how to do it yet!" Riley encourages students to tackle math challenges with positivity and determination, ensuring that they not only improve their skills but also develop a love for the subject.
