At Mathnasium of Center City, we love recognizing students who bring enthusiasm, determination, and positivity to every session. This month, we’re excited to celebrate Julián as our Student of the Month!
We sat down with Julián to learn more about his math journey, his goals, and what he enjoys most about coming to Mathnasium.
When asked about his favorite thing about Mathnasium, Julián quickly answered, “You get prizes!” From the very beginning, he had a positive attitude toward learning math. His first impression of Mathnasium was, “I thought I was going to have fun doing math.”
Right now, Julián enjoys “doing big numbers and hard math,” and he has worked hard to overcome challenges along the way. One concept that was especially difficult at first was missing subtrahends over 100, but through persistence and practice, he has continued to improve his skills and confidence.
Outside of Mathnasium, Julián enjoys playing with blocks and using his imagination to build and create. When asked what he wants to be when he grows up, he proudly shared that he hopes to become a police officer.
Julián’s excitement for learning and willingness to take on challenging math problems make him a wonderful role model for other students. We are so proud of his progress and look forward to seeing all he continues to accomplish both in math and beyond!
