Say hello to Faye Tarsches, your local Center Director for Mathnasium of Coal Mountain!

So Faye, What is your favorite thing to do in the city where your center is located?

A: Supporting local events that include supporting our instructors as well as the schools in our area. I am looking forward to attending upcoming shows/plays at FOCAL (Forsyth County Arts and learning Center).

What is your favorite Mathnasium success story?

A: I don't know that I have a favorite ""one"", but I do have stories that I love to share.. We had a student that had a goal of simply getting a grade on a test above a failure. After attending Mathnasium for a few short months, she received an 83 on a math test! We have a student that is fairly new to our center and told me that he is so glad his parents enrolled him because Mathnasium has given him confidence in math he did not have before coming here. We just heard from a previous student that because of the time she spent at Mathnasium, she now LOVES math and has a 98 in math in high school. These are just a few of our ""favorite"" stories.

What’s your favorite kind of math?

A: Numerical Fluency- I love to see the littles get excited when they grasp a new concept!

What do you like the most about the Mathnasium Method?

A: It provides the freedom for the students to understand math in a way that makes sense to them.
