In-Center Precautions

We take the safety of our students and staff very seriously. Since we first began preparing to reopen our doors for in-center instruction we’ve made it a priority to reach out to our families and do everything we can to ensure they feel safe when at the center. The following procedures are being enforced in our center:

  • By Appointment Only - All in-center sessions will need to be scheduled through Appointment Plus. This is the same program we use to schedule @Home visits.
  • Limited Capacity - We're operating at a limited capacity to allow each student to stay distanced during their visit. As we are able, we will increase capacity.
  • Drop Off - We will have a staging area at the front of the center to help keep all students at least 6 feet apart. You must wait to be sure that your child is able to attend for the session (more information below) before leaving.
  • Health Check - Parents complete a Covid questionairre when they schedule each in-center appointment for their student(s). Students must be scheduled in order to enter the center.
  • Check-in - Students are now able to check themselves in and out using our check-in tablet. This tablet is sanitized between uses.
  • Hand Sanitizing - Every person at Mathnasium will need to immediately sanitize their hands upon arrival. Hand sanitizer will be readily available.
  • Masks - All students and staff will be required to wear a mask during their time in the center.
  • Water Fountains - All water fountains in the centers are closed to decrease shared surfaces, please encourage your child to bring in a full water bottle if they need it.
  • Waiting area - In the interest of reducing the number of extra people in the centers, we are asking guardians to drop off and pick up their students only, rather than waiting in the center during their visit. Any visitor to Mathnasium (even parents of current students) will be required to fill out a sign-in sheet.
  • Spacing - Students will continue to be seated in a distanced manner. There should always be an empty seat between students.
  • Sanitizing - We are frequently disinfecting high-touch surfaces, such as tables, chairs, door handles, light switches, etc. Student work areas will be sanitized between sessions.
  • Pencils - Each student will have their own pencils to keep in their binder. There will be no sharing.
  • Games / Manipulatives - During this period, we will not be using games. Manipulatives are available upon request only and are sanitized between uses.
