Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Long N.

Instructor
Having graduated in Computer Science at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Long had experience in the IT world as a software developer. He always had math as one of his favorite subjects in school and sometimes uses his spare time on continuing learning math and computer science. He had helped friends and family with learning STEM related topics. Outside of Mathnasium, he likes reading comics or taking long walks with his dog.

Aarna P.

Instructor

Aarna is currently a junior at Oliver Ames High School. She has always had a love for math, now having completed all math courses through AP BC Calculus and currently studying computer science. Outside of math, Aarna is a proud member of science team, robotics team, and chamber orchestra. She hopes to spark natural curiosity and find the fun in math for students!

Joseph T.

Instructor

Joseph is currently a senior at Sharon High School. Whether it’s deriving physics equations or solving long algebraic problems, he loves math and hopes to help others understand it at Mathnasium. Outside the classroom, he’s the drummer in his school’s jazz band and a four year varsity track athlete. His hobbies include graphic design, website development, and creating music.

Ben W.

Lead Instructor/Team Lead
Ben is a rising junior at Northeastern University majoring in Mathematics and Philosophy. In high school, he focused on solving integrals, preparing him for integration contests. Now, he specializes in game theory, deductive logic, and statistics. Ben was previously a teaching assistant at Northeastern. He enjoys fostering students’ curiosity by encouraging them to ask questions. Every question is a good question--asking questions is learning! At Mathnasium, Ben hopes to cultivate a deep understanding in students, so that they feel like they can tackle any problem, even without ‘necessary’ formulas. Outside of math, he focuses on memory training, trying to memorize as many random words as possible in 60 seconds–a seemingly dull, yet fun task!

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
