Tim G.

Lead Instructor
I received a BS in Engineering Physics and an MS in Optical Sciences and worked in industry for 40 years as an engineer and manager. Roles covered research, product development, and manufacturing. Companies included IBM, Kodak, Seagate, ADC, and most recently Banner Engineering. I enjoyed my career and am proud to be co-inventor of 20 issued US patents. Math and Science have always been my focus. Now I am excited with this opportunity to assist our next generation. My wife and I have two wonderful children that went through the Eden Prairie and University of Minnesota schools and are both employed in STEM careers. Interests are math & puzzles, 3-cushion billiards, hiking, reading, and traveling.

Mel T.

Mel T. received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Mathematics from Bemidji State University. She taught at the junior high and senior high school levels for 5 years in Texas. After that, she came to Minnesota and taught for 36+ years at Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minnesota. Of those 36+ years, 15 of them were done teaching mathematics totally online. Most recently, she was awarded the 2022 MinnMATYC ( Minnesota Mathematics Association of Teachers of Two-Year Colleges) Service Award. This award was presented to her at the annual MCTM ( Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics) / MinnMATYC conference in Duluth, Minnesota. These two organizations cover mathematics faculty K-12, ABE ( Adult Basic Education), and two and four-year public colleges in Minnesota.

Geetha R.

I hold a Master's Degree in Bio-Chemistry, and I have always enjoyed math, as well as teaching math to students. I am passionate about teaching and encouraging students with positive reinforcement. Watching my students grow with confidence brings me joy. I spend most of my time with my kids. Gardening and art are also hobbies of mine.

Chris M.

My name is Chris M., and I have been a classroom teacher for twenty-five years. I've taught mathematics, but also critical thinking, computer science, and perhaps surprisingly, English grammar. Through my career, I've taught mathematics to students from 3rd-grade through college; for the last seven years, it's been my privilege to teach at a charter high school for the arts in Eden Prairie. I love tutoring at Mathnasium because it gives me a chance to work with individual students in an unrushed atmosphere. The students have the time to ask as many questions as they need, and I have the opportunity to offer corrections or explanations. In my spare time, I direct a music performance group at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
