Tim G.

Lead Instructor
I earned a BS in Engineering Physics and an MS in Optical Sciences, and I spent 40 exciting years in the industry as an engineer and manager. My roles spanned research, product development, and manufacturing, with companies like IBM, Kodak, Seagate, ADC, and most recently, Banner Engineering. I’m incredibly proud to be a co-inventor of 20 issued U.S. patents! Throughout my career, math and science were always at the core of everything I did. Now, I’m thrilled to take that passion and channel it into helping the next generation excel! My wife and I are also proud parents of two amazing children who went through Eden Prairie schools and the University of Minnesota, both now working in STEM careers. Outside of work, I enjoy anything that challenges the mind, from math puzzles and 3-cushion billiards to hiking, reading, and traveling. I can’t wait to share my love for math and problem-solving with our students!

Mel T.

Instructor
Mel T. received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Mathematics from Bemidji State University. She taught at the junior high and senior high school levels for 5 years in Texas. After that, she came to Minnesota and taught for 36+ years at Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minnesota. Of those 36+ years, 15 of them were done teaching mathematics totally online. Most recently, she was awarded the 2022 MinnMATYC ( Minnesota Mathematics Association of Teachers of Two-Year Colleges) Service Award. This award was presented to her at the annual MCTM ( Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics) / MinnMATYC conference in Duluth, Minnesota. These two organizations cover mathematics faculty K-12, ABE ( Adult Basic Education), and two and four-year public colleges in Minnesota.

Geetha R.

Instructor
I hold a Master's Degree in Bio-Chemistry, and my enthusiasm for math has been a constant throughout my academic and professional journey. I am deeply passionate about teaching math and find immense joy in fostering students' understanding and confidence through positive reinforcement. Witnessing my students' growth and their increasing self-assurance is truly rewarding. Beyond my professional life, I dedicate most of my time to my children, enjoying activities such as gardening and art. These hobbies not only enrich my personal life but also inspire my teaching, as I believe in integrating real-world experiences to make math relatable and engaging.

Chloe O.

Instructor
Hello, I’m Chloe! I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, which I completed in the Fall of 2017. This fall, I’m excited to take the next step in my journey by pursuing a Master's in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at the University of Minnesota! Math has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve had the privilege to share that love through teaching. As a math tutor in college, and later as an Adjunct Instructor at Western Dakota Technical College, where I taught soil mechanics and led the lab, I discovered how rewarding it is to help students build confidence in math and engineering concepts. When I’m not diving into math and science, I love spending time with my two dogs and hanging out with my little sister from Big Brothers Big Sisters. Whether in the classroom or out with family, I’m all about fostering growth, curiosity, and a love for learning!

Janika K.

Instructor
Hi, I’m Janika K., an instructor at the Eden Prairie Mathnasium center. I fell in love with math at a very young age, thanks to the incredible teachers and tutors who helped me truly understand it. Their impact was unforgettable, and I can still remember every one of them because they were all phenomenal! As a former Mathnasium student, I’m thrilled to now be an instructor, bringing that same positive, supportive approach to teaching. My goal is to inspire students to work hard, gain confidence, and—most importantly—discover their own love for math, just like my mentors did for me. I can’t wait to help each student unlock their potential and enjoy the journey of learning math!

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
