Since the pandemic started, Mathnasium has been the only constant in my kids' lives. I think doing tutoring online feels more personal than meeting in person with masks on. I never thought my kids would beg me for more math one day. They simply love the Mathnasium method and concept. We are very glad we gave their online tutoring a shot. We’re so excited to finally have Mathnasium in Eugene/Springfield where our kids can excel in mathematics, the foundation for STEM. This kind of focused math tutoring was sorely missing or was of very limited capacity in the area. We enrolled our son after reading about great reviews about its math program from around the US. It has been a real savior with its online platform especially with on-site learning still a distant possibility, having missed proper school classes in the second semester and unclear if 4J on-site will actually start in fall.
He loves his hour with Mathnasium and is always eager since he is actually enjoying it even though it’s summer! Online lessons have been very smooth. Most of all, his tutor and center director, Mo, has made it fun and very exciting in addition to imparting knowledge. In just the first month, our son has made great progress and we couldn’t be happier and satisfied. So glad to see actual math learning happen right from home and make up for the lost few months as well as coming months. Highly recommended! |

The only regret I have is that I didn't enroll my kids in this program earlier. Sometimes we have to give our kids a boost in order for them to reach their potential. Mathnasium Eugene is right there to help with extremely knowledgeable, friendly and fun tutoring. And as a bonus for the times we live in right now, they can do all of this online for social distancing. |

We’re so excited to finally have Mathnasium in Eugene/Springfield where our kids can excel in Mathematics, the foundation for STEM. Mo immediately called me and reassured me that he could help. He is enthusiastic about math and really loves helping children develop a love of math. The only thing I wish is that I did this sooner. My daughter went from hating school and herself to enjoying her time at Mathnasium. Her grades went up, we don't spend the hours a day on homework anymore, and she really "gets" math. She doesn't just go through the motions of a canned formula - she really understands the how and the why of how to arrive at the solution. My older daughter (10th grade) was actually jealous and asked to be enrolled. Math was never an issue to her, but she wanted to be better. She has high educational aspirations, and wants to make sure she's competitive for University. Mathnasium took her in as well and is helping her arrive at her true math potential. In just 2 years, she filled gaps from 4 years (8th grade to 11th grade), & now she's back on track & getting As & becoming confident in time before her senior year & college. I'm so happy for her! This long-term strategy made me realize that hiring a hit-and-miss private tutor to help her with immediate school homework was an unsustainable short-term fix in math since it doesn't tackle old gaps that come back to bite later. Emma received a TAG designation at school---but there is no TAG program in the district. We explored math tutors, found Mathnasium, and couldn't be more relieved/happier. Emma is our granddaughter and we are raising her; the new math is outside of our own experience. My son was the student of the month last month, which gave him a mental boost right before he took his SAT test at the beginning of this month. This week, he was very pleased to find out that he scored among the top 25% students in the country (in both math & overall), making him a "competitive" candidate in college applications, despite starting Mathnasium 4 years ago as an 8th grader with the math level of a 4th grader. Last June, he ended 11th grade with an "A" grade in "Algebra 2". I'm proud of his progress. Mathnasium of Eugene has been around since 2020 right at the start of the pandemic and has successfully maneuvered the challenge and provided extremely valuable service to provide lessons to fill huge gaps that surfaced with suboptimal online classes. I can confidently say that since we saw that gain with our son, grade 8, now already doing grade 9 math, huge thanks to the dedicated instructors and management.

I'm already happy with both my kids catching up with school then becoming ahead of school thanks to Mathnasium, but Mathnasium of Eugene's FUN factor is really making a difference for my kids: my lazy son stopped dragging his feet to his sessions, and my shy daughter started asking for more sessions/week! The Stars reward system, the Student of the Month contest, the Friday math parties, the Ice Cream Bonanza motivator, the center's decoration and environment... Now I'm hearing my kids referring their friends to Mathnasium! I can only imagine how fun the summer math camp may be, but I'm glad my kids can at least do their math sessions online while we travel a lot this summer. I wish my kids' other activities were as flexible to schedule. Thank you Mathnasium of Eugene team! |

The program is great. There is no shame that he is 3 grades behind. My son missed so much school because of health issues and Covid that his school couldn’t “catch him up” like they said they could. Mathnasium is catching him up. |

When I saw how detailed my kids' assessment results were, then how organized their individualized gap-filling packets are, I knew that my kids were in good hands, and I wished that Mathnasium's 1-on-1 system was implementable in schools, including their no-homework strategy, reducing my stress and fatigue at home. Then I saw my kids' monthly progress reports, but also how they changed from hating math to loving it, and now how they're talking about pursuing science majors in college. In our family, Mathnasium of Eugene changed all of our lives. |
