Kaitlin O’Neill
Owner
After graduating from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Kaitlin started her career working at a global banking institution in New York City. While working there, she found out about Mathnasium through an advertisement in a local magazine and having always wanted to open her own business, she knew this would be the perfect one. She opened her first center in 2013, and currently owns 4 in the New York area. Kaitlin is always excited to see the students at Mathnasium grow from each and every session they attend, seeing discouraged faces change to big, confident, smiling ones, and hopes that every child that comes through a Mathnasium center, will one day carry the same love for math that she possesses. In her downtime, Kaitlin enjoys discovering all the different things that each neighborhood of New York City has to offer, as well as traveling outside of New York when she has the opportunity to do so!
RJ Calub
Center Director
RJ grew up in California and graduated from Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Mathematics. Growing up, RJ loved math because each problem felt like a puzzle waiting to be solved. He knows that math can be a daunting subject at times, but believes that each student has the ability to overcome it. At Mathnasium, his goal is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment, giving students the confidence they need in order to succeed in the subject – and make sure they have fun learning it at the same time.
Raymond Tung
Instructor
Raymond is a graduate of Queens College, with a B.A. in Mathematics Education. He’s currently teaching in the fall while devoting some time as well back with Mathnasium, where he's formed a bond with most of the students there for over 7 years. Ever since he was a child in elementary and middle school, he was always motivated to learn and challenge himself with math. But more importantly, he was more inspired to help those around him with understanding the subject as well. This passion for mathematics blossomed even further in high school, where he met his math teacher that had a relatable Cantonese background that eventually empowered him to pursue his teaching career. His work ethic and professionalism made Raymond hoping to follow in his footsteps, which he is currently still trying to achieve. Aside from math, Raymond’s main hobbies include watching animes, reading manga and manhwa, and following the NBA/MLB news and games.
Daniel Park
Instructor
Daniel is a graduate of Baruch College with a B.A. in Mathematics. Ever since he was young, Daniel had always loved to find creative solutions to problems. His love of problem-solving eventually led to his interest in mathematics. He would help his teach friends in his free time and found it rewarding when they understood a concept they didn't know before. In addition to problem solving his hobbies include music, gaming, and basketball.
Chuu Htet Naing
Instructor
Chuu is currently a junior majoring in Biological Science at Hunter College. Ever since she was young, she had a great interest in Mathematics and enjoyed challenging math problems. It is fascinating for her to study how numbers work and how problems could be solved with different approaches. Hence, she joined math clubs and participated in Mathematics competitions during her high school years. When she graduated from high school, she had a chance to volunteer as a Math and Science teacher at her school. As a result, she found a passion for teaching Mathematics. This opportunity gives her a wide experience in teaching and working with children. In her free time, she likes to play badminton and watch movies with her friends and family
Alice Yee
Instructor
Alice is a freshman at Hunter College pursuing degrees in Media Studies and Public Policy. She has always been interested in communicating with people of various ages and backgrounds, scoping their perspectives and supporting their individual goals. Being a former Mathnasium student, Alice aims to pass on the same joy and clarity for math to her students by connecting their established knowledge with new concepts. In her downtime, Alice loves learning different languages, from Spanish to American Sign Language to Chinese, trying new sports teams like fencing, and crocheting small plushies.
Benjamin Yee
Instructor
Benjamin started learning math at Mathnasium at a young age and is currently continuing to learn math through high school. He had a natural curiosity for the world around him and how things worked. This curiosity was further boosted when he joined as a student at Mathnasium. At Mathnasium he was inspired by his instructor's passion and interest for math. With the inspiration to pursue math by his instructors Benjamin decided to join math clubs and teams. After being a part of multiple math teams, clubs, and The Science Olympiad he wanted to do something more and to teach at Mathnasium to inspire more students. Benjamin enjoys not only math but cooking, running, archery, comic books, and games.

Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Pricing varies by program and geographic area. Contact our center for more details on enrollment packages.
