Numerical Fluency Course

Mathnasium’s Numerical Fluency Course helps young learners build a strong foundation in essential math operations, ensuring fluency and confidence in early math skills. Choose from two focus areas:


• Addition & Subtraction - Strengthen mental math skills, develop number sense, and increase speed and accuracy.
• Multiplication & Division - Build automatic recall of multiplication and division factors for a smoother transition to advanced math concepts.

SUMMER GROUP

The entrance exam is a CogAt Test. The CogAT measures three different cognitive abilities. It is a gifted screening test used by many school districts to qualify students for their gifted and talented programs. Preparation is not everything but we can provide an excellent idea of what is coming during the admission Exam so the unexpected is not a factor in being part of this competition. 

• The verbal section measures a child’s ability to remember and transform English word sequences, understand them, and make inferences and judgments about them.    
• The quantitative section measures a child’s understanding of basic quantitative concepts and relationships.    
• The non-verbal section measures reasoning using pictures and geometric shapes. This section reduces the impact of language on the student’s score.    
• The composite score is the total score for all three batteries.

This program is delivered during 4 consecutive weeks, in person, during 8 sessions of 1 hours each. We provide guidance and familiarity with the test. Students will work on CogAT practice questions that are similar to what the actual test will be. There is no make-up of sessions or change groups. Students will receive any missing material.
