Q: What is a comprehensive assessment?
A: It is a test given to give us a starting point. It allows us to see what a student knows and does not know so that we can create a comprehensive learning plan.
Q: What things do you learn about a student when they take a comprehensive assessment?
A: We see the learning gaps that they have, as well as, how they process the material that they are being asked on the assessment.
Q: What is a customized learning plan?
A: It is a learning plan based on what they got incorrect or left blank on the assessment.
Q: How do you gauge progress?
A: Each student completes a mastery check at the end of each topic they are covering in their learning plan. If they complete the questions correctly, then they can move on to the next topic. It is our way of ensuring that they fully understand the material being presented.
