Owner
Kevin Nguyen is the owner at Mathnasium of Greenhaven. He earned his MA in Education at the University of the Pacific and his BS in Biomedical Engineer at UC Davis. He was a high school teacher with Elk Grove Unified School District. He has taught and tutored children of all ages for more than 10 years. Now he is currently a principal assistant of an elementary school with Sac City Unified School District. Kevin is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community.

Meet Ninh, a passionate college student at Sacramento City College, on her way to an Associates degree for Transfer in Mathematics. With over 5 years of experience as a Mathnasium student in Vietnam, she now returns as an Instructor and spreads her love for math to kids at the Greenhaven branch. At Mathnasium, Ninh aims to create a supportive learning space, fostering young minds to blossom in their mathematical thinking. During free time, she enjoys playing chess, experimenting with different baking recipes and exploring new destinations.

Lance is currently a graduate student at Sacramento State University, pursuing a master's in pure mathematics. Lance has already obtained a Bachelors in pure mathematics from UCLA. His goal is to create a safe environment where students can develop problem-solving skills and confidence to overcome challenges. If a student is struggling or simply looking to keep up in their math class, Mathnasium will build upon what they already know, addressing their learning gaps and teaching math in a way that makes sense to them.
Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Pricing varies by program and geographic area. Contact our center for more details on enrollment packages.

No. All learning occurs under the efficient and effective guidance of our trained instructors. Adding homework would risk frustration and overload. In fact, we'll set aside some time each session to help your student with their school homework.
