The Story of Your Local Mathnasium - Greenville Downtown

1. When was your center/re’s grand opening??

A: Our center recently opened on March 25, 2023. It was a lovely spring day and we were ecstatic to open our doors to the community!

2. Of all your employees, who has been with you the longest?

A: Geraldine has been tutoring students for the past 10 years and was an advanced math high school teacher for 4 years. She started with us at our Greenville Five Forks location and now is the Center Director of our Greenville Downtown location. Geraldine has instructed students from Pre-K to 12th grade. She loves teaching as she has a passion for Mathematics and helping students gain confidence in their math skills.

3. Who is the owner/director of your center?

A: Our owner, Dawn Sheriff, is a multi-center owner. Her Mathnasium journey began over 7 years ago with the opening of the Greenville Five Forks location in 2016, then Simpsonville location in 2019, and most recently, the Greenville Downtown location in 2023. She's a mother of three lovely girls and loves how Mathnasium has helped her daughters' math education. She believes in the Mathnasium Method as she has seen it increase the confidence and understanding of math in so many kids. Mathnasium truly changes lives!

4. What local schools does your center serve?

A: Some schools we serve are Christ Church Episcopal School, First Presbyterian Academy, Augusta Circle Elementary, Stone Academy, Berea Middle School, Hughes Academy, and Blythe Academy. There are many more we serve, they are just not listed above.

5. What are parents saying about your center?

A: "A student had a 44 in his Pre-Algebra class in April. We began working with him and helped him raise his grade to a 77 in a matter of a month and a half! He also got an 84 on his final. His grandmother is amazed with the work we are doing with him, and we are humbled to be able to provide the math support he needs."
