April is not only Mathematics and Statistics Awareness Month, it's also National Poetry Month! To celebrate this union of art and science, the Smithsonian Magazine published an article all about poets and mathematicians who have brought the two disciplines together.
There's lots of different ways to bring poetry and math together. Some poets use mathematical imagery and language to enhance the themes of their poems; others use poetic forms like haikus or sonnets that have a mathematical structure.
