Preventing the Summer Slide Redux

Apr 24, 2020 | Hinsdale

We know things have been topsy turvey for a while now, but we want to reassure you that Mathnasium is here to remain a steady, helpful presense in you and your children's lives. One way that we can help is by setting you up with Mathnasium@Home! Distance learning is all the rage right now, and our tutoring center is no different. We have the same dedicated instructors bringing you the same educational materials that they would be getting in our center.

Mathnasium@Home is also a good way to avoid the infamous Summer Slide, which are the three months out of the year--in the summer months--when the students don't have their usualy structured lesson plans. Now, with COVID-19 putting students' curriculum on hold, it is even more imperative to make sure that students don't forget the lessons they have been learning.

As we always say: "If you don't use it, you'll lose it!"

If you would like more information on the Summer Slide/COVID Slide, here is a very informative PDF that outlines the hows and the whys.

We want to reassure parents that we are here to provide some consistency in these trying times. If you have any questions or have any interest in signing up for Mathnasium@Home, please don't hesitate to give us a call or send us an email.

In the meantime, stay safe and be well!
