Ron is the Owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of La Quinta. He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a Wealth Mastery executive management certification from UC Berkeley.
After a successful career in software and executive management coaching, Ron chose to pursue his lifelong passion for math and teaching by bringing Mathnasium to the Coachella Valley. He finds nothing more rewarding than guiding young minds and watching their confidence grow. Outside the center, he enjoys time with his family, his five Pomeranians, and playing piano and electric guitar.
Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino, and a Computer Programming Certificate from Mt. San Jacinto College. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Data Science. Originally from Fairbanks, Alaska, she began tutoring in college and quickly discovered her love of teaching math.
At Mathnasium, Lauren creates a welcoming environment that helps students strengthen their skills and confidence. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her two dogs, baking, and spending time with friends and family.
Ryan holds Associate’s degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from College of the Desert and is now completing his Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics at UC San Diego. He has experience tutoring math, physics, and computer programming, and he enjoys helping students develop independence in problem solving.
Ryan’s teaching style emphasizes curiosity and logical thinking, encouraging each student to make connections on their own. When he is not tutoring, he enjoys hiking, building PCs, and playing strategy-based card games.
Kaeden is studying Robotics at the University of California, Riverside. His interest in math began during his first year of high school, where he consistently ranked among the top of his class. He is passionate about helping students see math not as something intimidating, but as a tool for creativity and real-world problem solving.
Kaeden enjoys reading, writing, cooking, attending concerts, and creating art. He works to help students discover that math is not only useful but deeply rewarding.
Emmanuel is currently a student at College of the Desert working toward his Associates Degree in Computer Sciences. He is planning to transfer to University of California San Diego, and work toward his Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. Emmanuel has tutored math, physics, and economics while at Palm Desert High School. He inspires students to expand their curiosity and interest in mathematics. In his spare time, Emmanuel loves to play video games, work on coding projects, play chess, and binge watch TV shows.
