• Where is Mathnasium of Layton located?

  Mathnasium of Layton is located directly across the street from Northridge High School. With easy parking and nearby dining, our center is a convenient destination for families in Layton, Syracuse, Robinwood, Meadowbrook Hollow, Aspen Easy, Hill AFB, and Kays Creek.

• Do you offer online tutoring?

  Yes! Mathnasium of Layton offers both in-center and online tutoring.  

  Students can choose to attend live, face-to-face sessions in the format that best suits their family’s preferences and schedule—either at the center or online from home.

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No. Whether students join us in person or online, they receive the same personalized learning plans and real-time, face-to-face instruction in a supportive group environment.  

• What math classes can your Layton tutors help with?

  We support students in grades K–12 across all math classes and topics, from early numeracy to Algebra, Geometry, and beyond.  

  We also offer math enrichment programs to help advanced students stay challenged and deepen their understanding of higher-level concepts.

• What does mathematics tutoring cost at Mathnasium of Layton?

  We offer math-only tutoring through a flat monthly enrollment fee, along with a one-time start-up fee. Most students attend 2–3 sessions per week for the best results. To find the best plan for your child, we recommend starting with a free assessment.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring at Mathnasium of Layton?

  No. The cost is the same whether your child attends online, in-center, or uses a hybrid schedule. 

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment at Mathnasium of Layton?

  We begin with a diagnostic assessment to determine each student’s strengths, learning gaps, and goals. This ensures we create a personalized learning plan that leads to measurable progress and confidence in math.

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Layton, we use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary approach that combines personalized instruction with proven learning strategies.  

  We help students make sense of math, build solid problem-solving skills, and grow their confidence, whether they need support catching up or want to participate in our math enrichment options.

• Do you work with advanced students or with students who are struggling with math?

  Yes! We work with K-12 students of all skill levels.  

  Students who are struggling with get step-by-step instruction to close learning gaps and rebuild confidence. Advanced learners benefit from math enrichment opportunities that challenge them and support continued growth.

• Do you work with homeschooled students in Layton and surrounding communities?

  Yes! We welcome students from all educational backgrounds, including public, private, and homeschool programs.

• Do you help students with their math homework?

  Yes. Our tutors set aside time during each session to help students with math homework, helping them understand assignments and apply concepts. 

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No, all learning and practice take place during sessions with our tutors. We do not assign additional homework outside of the center.

• Does Mathnasium of Layton prepare students for math on standardized tests?

  Yes, Mathnasium of Layton helps students get ready for math on standardized tests such as state exams, the PSAT®, SAT®, and ACT®.  

  Our program combines targeted practice with problem-solving strategies, as well as confidence-building support, so students perform their best on test day and beyond.
