Kayla Wasmund
Center Director
My name is Kayla Wasmund and I am the Center Director at Mathnasium of Lutz. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics in 2020, with a minor in Secondary Mathematics Education. I was an instructor for four years at Mathnasium in the Orlando/Seminole area while I was in college. After graduation, I worked as a middle and high school math teacher, teaching classes ranging from Algebra 1 all the way through AP Calculus. I'm excited to get to know your child and help them reach their math goals!
Emily Bowling
Lead Instructor
Emily has been with us at Mathnasium for a little under a year. She graduated in 2023 with a degree from the University of Florida in Animal Science. She currently volunteers at the animal shelter, hoping to become a large animal vet in the future. Emily’s favorite topics in math are solving systems of equations and factoring. Two fun facts about her are that she has two huskies names Zeus and Apollo, and she knows all the countries, capitals, and flags in the world just in case she goes on the Amazing Race some day!

Markley Richard
Instructor
Markley has been an instructor with us at Mathnasium for just over 2 years. He is currently finishing his degree from the University of South Florida in Mechanical Engineering. Markley's favorite things about math are Maclaurin Series and proofs. Two fun facts about him are that he considers himself a morning person (as long as morning starts at 10 am!), and he is a key lime pie fanatic. In his free time, he likes to go hiking!
Ethan Graff
Instructor
Ethan is a recent graduate from the University of Florida with a degree in Computer Science. His favorite math topic is Calculus! Two fun facts about Ethan are that he is learning German, and he once drove from California to Florida in less than 3 days. In his free time, he enjoys music, video games, and basketball.
Christopher Norris
Instructor
Chris is a retired Chemistry professor, with degrees in Chemistry from Cornell College and the University of Colorado-Boulder. His hobbies include tennis, music, electronics, and gluten free baking. Chris' favorite thing about math is finding ways to do scientific calculations in his head. He has spent a summer hiking parts of the Appalachian Trail in every state that it passes through. He also once almost ran over Colorado governor Ray Romer on foot while carrying 2 4-liter bottles of concentrated hydrochloric acid, one in each hand!

Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Pricing varies by program and geographic area. Contact our center for more details on enrollment packages.

No. All learning occurs under the efficient and effective guidance of our trained instructors. Adding homework would risk frustration and overload. In fact, we'll set aside some time each session to help your student with their school homework.
