At Mathnasium, the well-being of our families is always our first priority. We are keeping up with the latest information on the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and wanted to share some notes with you on how we are working to keep our center the safest place it can be for your children.
We are aware that county schools have been closed until March 30 and we continue to monitor state/local and school websites to keep abreast of the most recent updates for our community. We are taking every precaution to prepare and reduce exposure risks to our students and employees. We are emphasizing hygiene standards for all students and staff and reinforcing the importance of proper handwashing procedures after sneezing, coughing, and using the bathroom. We are also implementing additional cleaning protocols with disinfectants for all communal surfaces. We have hand sanitizer available and proactively administer its use.
The best way to manage our situation is by working together. Please reiterate proper handwashing techniques and making healthy, responsible choices when someone in your family is feeling unwell. For any students exhibiting signs of a cold or the flu, we will be asking parents/guardians to take them home. If your child has symptoms, please wait until those symptoms have subsided before returning to the center. We are following this same guidance with our Center management and instructor teams as well.
In an effort to keep daily activities as normal as possible, we are working diligently to keep our center open and continue providing the same high-quality math education. Notwithstanding our efforts, if you have concerns with bringing your child into the center, please remember we also offer Mathnasium @Home, virtual live instruction. Please visit the link here to see a brief video about Mathnasium @Home. We are happy to discuss this alternative method of math instruction should you be interested in learning more. With either alternative, our goal is to ensure your students experience minimal disruption with respect to their math academic goals during this time.
We will continue to provide you with regular updates as this situation evolves. Please reach out to our center at any time if you have any concerns that we can address.
