Hi! I’m Paige and I am current math and statistics student at Minnesota State, Mankato with a goal of someday working in Sports Analytics. I always had a passion for math growing up, and I’m excited to help the kids at Mathnasium build their confidence and hopefully enjoy math too! Outside of work, I love going to concerts, traveling, and keeping up with Minnesota sports. A fun fact about me: my favorite number is 11, but for no reason pertaining to math! It was my very first jersey number and I stuck with it through high school.
I am a driven and passionate student pursuing a dual major in Accounting and Finance, with plans to graduate in the fall of 2025. I recently completed a tax accounting internship with Baker Tilly, where I gained valuable real-world experience and deepened strong interest in the field. Currently, I am preparing to take the CPA exam and am excited to continue developing my skills as I move into the next phase of my professional journey.
Growing up on a farm, I developed a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. Whether he's going on long runs, playing basketball, or working with and showing animals, I finds energy and balance in staying active. My early experiences on the farm also taught me the value of discipline and responsibility—qualities that have carried over into both my academic and professional life.
A have always been a naturally math-oriented student and have always been drawn to problem-solving and analytical thinking, this led me to pursue a career in accounting and finance. In addition to my academics, I finds fulfillment in helping others learn. I take great pride in tutoring students and guiding them through concepts they’ve struggled with, and thrive on seeing their confidence grow. With my strong foundation in math, passion for teaching, and real-world accounting experience, I am excited to continue making a positive impact in both the classroom and with the great students at Mathnasium!
Hello! My name is Elora, and I am a current student of Mechanical Engineering at MSU.
I came to Mankato after transferring from Normandale Community College after completing my AA in Mathematics and an AS in Engineering Broadfield.
I previously have had multiple tutoring jobs, and enjoyed working with kids and seeing their minds at work. It's my philosophy that people should always be learning and honing their skills, and one of the best ways is with practice. Teaching and tutoring helps keep me sharp, and I really enjoy tutoring high school level math like Algebra and Pre-Calc. In my free time, I am part of the robotics club, enjoy video games, reading, travelling, and hiking. I hope to do a lot more travelling out of the country in the future
My favorite number: 8, because I like the symmetry of it and that it's basically a sideways infinity sign. I also like that it is a composite number that has a lot of use for expanded knowledge in mathematics (be it extending their knowledge in fractions, decimals, or creating an extra challenge for math facts).
My favorite math joke: What do you call two friends who love math? Algebros
Hi! I’m Emily, and I am an instructor at the Mankato Mathnasium. I am a junior at Minnesota State University - Mankato, and I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. While I am not enrolled in a math related field, I have always loved working with math and attempting to solve complex problems. Outside of work and school, I love being active with my friends (particularly playing pickleball and basketball), and watching movies with my roommates. If I had to choose a favorite number, I think I would have to choose the number 12. Something about the number 12 has always been incredibly satisfying to me, even when I was a little kid. I am so excited to continue working in this position and helping kids whenever I can! I have always been passionate about supporting others.”
Hello everyone! My name is Cotten, and I am an instructor at the Mathnasium of Mankato. I have been a Mathnasium Instructor since January 2025, and within those first few months, I have been developed a strong understanding of the Mathnasium Methodology and the differences and needs of the students.
I am a student at the University of Florida, currently working on a Computer Science Engineering degree while using my skills learned in that time to assist students with their problems and help them build a strong math foundation and catch up, keep up or stay ahead.
Other than teaching, my passions are researching the history of WW1, WW2, and the Cold War. I regularly attending G-Fest, as I am a huge fan of the Godzilla franchise and all it has to offer and enjoy listening to classical jazz compositions, especially ones primarily focusing around the trumpet. I really enjoy seeing the smiles of all the students as they learn more on the pathway to boost their confidence within mathematics.
My favorite number in mathematics is pi because of the vast possibilities on what the next numbers in the sequence could possibly be."
Hi! My name is Ava Harris, and I am an accounting major at MNSU. I was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota, but have been living in Mankato since 2025. Math has always been my favorite subject in school, and I truly have fun solving complex problems whether in math or not. When I’m not working, I love to go out to eat with friends, play board games, and I also have a love for crafting, so I crochet and build mini rooms and houses in my free time. I have also watched way too many movies and if I wasn’t an accounting major, I would’ve gone for producing. Despite my many hobbies, I have always known I would like to be able to teach and lead people, so I’m excited to start that journey now!
