Hannah

Assistant Center Director

Hannah is a graduate of Baptist College of Ministry with a Bachelor’s Degree in music. She assisted a middle school math class at Falls Baptist Academy during her last two years of college. Hannah loves math and especially enjoys helping others to love math too. She enjoys spending time outside, gardening, teaching music, and playing her viola and piano. Hannah has been with Mathnasium since August 2017. Hannah's favorite math joke: Why was 7 so over his job? A: He just couldn’t even.

Collin

Lead Instructor

Collin is a junior at UW-Milwaukee pursuing a degree in education. Outside of school, Collin enjoys swimming, spending time with friends and family, and going to arcades. Collin loves working with kids at Mathnasium to help them understand concepts they might not get and make learning enjoyable for them. Collin is now a lead instructor at the same Mathnasium he attended for years. Collin’s favorite math joke: I saw my math teacher with a piece of graph paper, I think they must be plotting something.

Mike

Instructor

Mike graduated from UW-Milwaukee with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics. He retired from the Milwaukee Public Schools where he taught secondary math for over thirty years. He also spent five years as a mathematics lecturer at UW-Waukesha. Mike's favorite math joke: There are 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

MJ

Instructor

Mary Jean earned her BS degree in Secondary Education/Mathematics at UW-Milwaukee in 1988. She has been teaching children mathematics for many years, mainly at the middle school level. She loves helping students better comprehend math, and especially enjoys seeing when the "light bulb" of understanding shows on their faces. MJ's favorite math joke: What's the best place to do math homework? A: On a multiplication table

Sophie

Instructor

Sophie is a sophomore at UW-Madison majoring in neurobiology and genetics. She enjoys math and science and has completed several advanced math and science classes. In her free time, Sophie loves reading, working out, watching Disney movies, playing with her dogs and completing puzzles. She enjoys working with children, helping them learn and grow, specifically in areas involving math and science. Sophie’s favorite math joke: What happened to the plant in math class? A: It grew square roots.

Ella

Instructor

Ella is a senior at Germantown High School. She loves all things to do with science and math! Ella participates in her school's a cappella group, Soltown, and plays club soccer. Also, she volunteers at her church every weekend working with the younger kids. She is so happy to be a part of the Mathnasium team! Ella's favorite math joke is: Why should you never argue with a 90 degree angle? A: It will always be right

Brooklyn

Instructor

Brooklyn is a junior at Menomonee Falls High School. She enjoys math and science and is in the STEM academy in the engineering strand. In her free time, Brooklyn enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Brooklyn loves to see children learn and grow their math skills and hopes to help kids to like math just a little bit more. Brooklyn's favorite math joke: What did the acorn say when it grew up? A: Ge-om-e-try (gee, I'm a tree)

Kyle

Kyle is a senior at Germantown High School. Math has been my favorite subject and I have taken advanced classes in math and other classes. I also participate in many after school clubs and volunteer a lot. I have 5 younger siblings and enjoy working with kids to help them learn. Kyle's favorite math joke: Why is the equal sign so humble? A: Because its not < OR > than anybody.

Riya

Instructor

Riya is a senior at Hartford Union High School. Her interest in math sparked early in 7th grade as she practiced challenging algebra problems. Throughout some years in high school, she has also been interested in research, specifically fighting Environmental issues and learning more about the aquatic ecosystem. Outside of the academic world, Riya enjoys performing Indian traditional dance, playing tennis, and hanging out with friends. One day, Riya hopes to strengthen her skills in STEM to go into the medical field. Riya's favorite math joke: You know what's odd to me? A: Numbers that cannot be divided by 2.

Addi

Instructor

Addi is a sophomore at Germantown High School. She loves math class and also enjoys band. She is in the Germantown marching band and runs for the cross country and track teams. Addi likes to volunteer with the kids at her church and provide a helping hand anywhere she is. Addi's favorite math joke: What did the acorn say when it grew up? A: Ge-ome-try (Gee, I’m a tree)

Braden

Braden is a student at Hamilton High School. He enjoys math and has taken quite a few classes, along with many business classes too. He plays golf for the high school team and participates in various clubs such as german club, and ski club. Outside of school, Braden likes playing basketball, soccer and other sports with friends. He enjoys helping people and seeing them succeed. Braden's favorite math joke: Why isn’t pi on twitter? A: Because 280 characters isn’t enough to express oneself.

Sarah

Sarah is in her sophomore year of high school at Menomonee Falls High School. Sarah’s favorite subject is math and she takes part in many after school activities. She plays basketball and she does cross country and track. Sarah is very interested in STEM, in fact she is in the stem academy at her high school. Sarah's favorite math joke: Why is it sad that parallel lines have so much in common? A: Because they will never meet.

Grace

Instructor

Grace is a Freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she will major in Psychology and Spanish. She is passionate about STEM learning and has taken many advanced math classes. In school, Grace is involved in Spanish club, National and Spanish Honor Society, Math Club, Mock Trial, and cross country. Some of her other interests include running, reading, spending time with friends and family, baking, and doing yoga. She is interested in pursuing clinical child psychology and loves working with children to help them succeed. Grace's favorite math joke: What did the calculator say to the student? A: You can always COUNT on me!

Golan

Instructor

Golan is a senior at Nicolet High School. He likes math and history, and is both on the math team, and a part of Model UN. In his spare time, Golan loves reading, peer tutoring, and going out into nature. He is excited to work with eager to learn math students. Golan's favorite math joke: An infinite amount of people go to a bar. One person asks for a drink, the next asks for half the amount the first person ordered. The next person asked for half the amount the second person ordered. This pattern continued until the bartender jumped up angrily, threw two drinks onto the table, yelled "I've reached my limit", and left.

Sangeetha

Instructor

Sangeetha is an accomplished Electronics Engineer and IT professional, currently contributing her expertise to a healthcare firm. She is also a certified Abacus (Mental Math) instructor. In her leisure time, Sangeetha enjoys engaging with children and participating in volunteer activities. She cherishes moments with her family, loves reading, and is always eager to learn new skills. Sangeetha's favorite math joke: Why was the equal sign so humble?  Because it knew it wasn’t less than or greater than anyone else!

Robin

Instructor

Robin is a Freshman at Menomonee Falls High School. She enjoys doing math and is currently taking Algebra in school. She is a part of her Schools FBLA and Key club. Outside of school, Robin loves performing in choirs, and musicals with Musical Masquers and First Stage. She also loves reading, baking and playing instruments. Robin plays Flute,  Tenor Saxophone, and Piano. She enjoys working with children, because she loves their playful and open spirits! Robin's favorite math joke: Why did the obtuse angle go to the beach? A: Because it was over 90 degrees!

Chris

Chris is a husband and father of two. He graduated with a bachelor's in information science from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. In his off time, he likes to spend it with his family and volunteer as a member of Sussex Lions as well as coach basketball for the past 3 years for his daughters' youth league. Chris's favorite math joke: What is a fish with no eyes? A: Fsh!

Bhavneet

Instructor

Bhavneet is a student at Menomonee Falls High School. She enjoy math and science, specifically biology. She is part of HOSA and student council. Outside of school, Bhavneet enjoy reading, dancing and working out. She likes working with kids and helping them understand topics they aren't 100% confident in. Bhavneet's favorite math joke: Have you heard of the hen who counted her eggs? A: She was a mathemachicken!

Joselyn

Instructor

Joselyn is a freshman at Menomonee Falls High School. Her favorite school subjects are science and math, and she enjoys learning new things. She is a member of HOSA, FBLA, Women of Will, the golf team, and the soccer team at her school. Outside of school, Joselyn enjoys spending time with her friends, reading, drawing, playing sports, and painting. She enjoys helping others while also meeting new people along the way. Joselyn's favorite math joke: Do you know why the two 4s didn’t go to the cafeteria for lunch? A: They already 8!

Avery

Instructor

Avery is freshman at Menomonee Falls High School and has taken accelerated math since elementary school. She loves playing softball and running cross country for her school at the varsity level. Outside of school she loves to play with her dog Lincoln, do crafts, and play club softball with her team in the summer. She enjoys working with kids of all ages and helping them learn while having fun! Avery's favorite math joke: Not all math jokes are bad, just sum

Nishanth

Nishanth is a junior at Menomonee Falls High School. He loves both math and science and has taken advanced classes in these subjects. In school, he is also an active member of the Model UN team as well as Vice President of the School Store for FBLA. He enjoys reading, writing, and gardening during his free time. Nishanth's favorite math joke: Why was the equilateral triangle always sad? A: Because it was never right!
