Mathnasium of Mount Prospect: Fall Community and Center Update

It has been an incredibly exciting season at Mathnasium of Mount Prospect, filled with community connections, engaging center events, and amazing math progress from our students. We believe that building math confidence extends beyond our center walls, and we have been working hard to create a vibrant, supportive environment for our local families.

Connecting with the Mount Prospect Community

We kicked off the back-to-school season with a fantastic Kona Ice Luau. It was wonderful to see so many families from our local community and neighborhood homeschooling groups come out and celebrate with us. Building relationships within Mount Prospect is a top priority, and we love participating in Mount Prospect Park District events. We are especially looking forward to their upcoming Trick-or-Treat Trails, which was a wonderful opportunity to connect with local families last year.

We are also thrilled to announce a growing partnership with our neighbors across the street at KidStrong. We already share some amazing overlapping students, and our team will be attending their Grand Opening event to show our support and expand that connection.

In-Center Fun: The "100 for 100" Raffle and Games

Keeping our students motivated and making math fun is what we do best. Our guessing games, trivia challenges, and Fun Calendar days remain huge student favorites.

Right now, the center is buzzing with excitement over our "100 for 100" Raffle. Inspired by our sister Mathnasium centers in Wisconsin, every time a student scores a 100 on a math test or quiz at school, they earn an entry into our raffle to win 100 Mathnasium reward cards! We will draw our first winner in December, and the excitement is so high that we will start a brand-new round in January.

Looking ahead, we are already brainstorming for the spring. Our Pi Day Party was a massive success with students and parents last year, and we are fully planning to bring that same energy back to the center this March.

Partnering with Parents and Local Schools

We are incredibly proud of the math progress our students are making. The personal words of gratitude we receive from parents and the visible growth in their children's math skills are our greatest rewards.

We are also actively working to forge strong paths with our local schools. We recently dropped off a batch of cupcakes to one of our local school offices to show our appreciation for their hardworking staff. As our center’s team continues to grow and we add an Assistant Center Director to our roster, we are eager to expand our school outreach and become a regular presence at local PTO meetings to further support Mount Prospect's students.
