Those upper high school student wanting to learn where they are best suited, we offer the best career assessments to help someone identify their natural aptitudes, their personality strengths and understand how their interests will lead to careers.


Summer Camp hours: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Camps are led by both our Mathnasium team and specialist for each camp!

All of our camps are in person, require registration as space is limited.

Camps are gender-neutral, great for both girls and boys.

ROBOTICS CAMP $300

What do we do?

  • Design, build, and code!
  • The goal is to begin exploring STEM fields through the fun of hands on design, planning, building and programming robots using Sony KOOV and LEGO Mindstorm, and a variety of Drones.
  • Once built, we will have a variety of competitions and challenges for students to learn about and play with. (We believe student learn 4x faster when they are laughing and having fun!)
  • STEM professionals will help students become aware of the future opportunities and pathways available.


Who staffs the camp?

The camp is led by our former Mathnasium Instructor and Mechanical Engineer, Karl Schulze! Mathansium. We keep at most a 3-1 instructor to student ratio to make sure students get maximum experience, and have instructors assisting!


How much does it cost?

The Robotics camp is $300 and is held during the hours of 9am-1pm at Mathnasium of New Orleans 701 Dante Street, Ste. D New Orleans, LA 70118. Snacks and drink will be provided each day, but students should bring their lunch should they get hungry.

ENTREPRENEUR CAMP $400

JUNE 10 - 15

5th grade - 12th Grade or 10 – 17 years of age


What do we do?

  • Awareness – Skills – Mindset – Experience – Mentors = Success
  • FOUNDATIONAL SKILLS of deciding what type of business to open, how to start and launch a business. 
  • The MINDSET needed to lead to launch and lead a business through extreme change.  
  • Gain EXPERIENCE from planning and starting a business! 
  • Develop MENTOR relationships to “copy genius” and gain valuable advice.  

Students Will:  

  • Start a business and learn for life
  • Learn skills and planning in: Strategy – People – Systems – Money
  • Understand the 4 quadrants of earning money (from employee to investor)
  • Play “Cashflow” by Robert Kiyosaki to develop financial literacy skills for entrepreneurs
  • Develop foundational people and leadership skills and practice through learning to play Texas Hold ‘em!  
  • Students will decide, plan and can execute on their planning to launch their first business.
  • Includes: DISC Assessment $150/value

Who staffs the camp? 

The camp is led by our Mathnasium leader, Hermann Schulze. In addition to being the owner and operator of Mathnasium, Hermann is a certified coach trained in advanced career assessments. He specializes in career development starting with high school and up to executive management. He will be assisted by fellow coach Rebecca Robb, and a variety of mentors who will share their experience with campers!  

How much does it cost? 

The Entrepreneur Exploration Camp is $400 and is held during the hours of 9am-1pm at Mathnasium of New Orleans 701 Dante Street, Ste. D New Orleans, LA 70118. Snacks and drink will be provided each day, but students should bring their lunch should they get hungry.

The camp is led by our very own Mathnasium Instructors at a 3-1 instructor to student ratio. Our instructors already have the affinity and talent in math and are specially trained in the The Mathnasium Method™. They have just as much fun with the students as the students do!

Regardless if you're a budding or a seasoned artist, this camp provides you a colorful adventure of imaginative thinking and innovative design. For 2nd graders to 12th graders, you'll also uncover the magic of math hidden within your creations.

Who staffs the camp? 

The camp is led by our art aficionado and Math Instructor, Sita Mottamal. This camp has a 5:1 ratio. It's designed to be engaging, interactive and we'll even have a contest for best design and technique!

How much does it cost? 

Math Camp is $200. and is held during the hours of 9am-1pm at Mathnasium of New Orleans 701 Dante Street, Ste. D New Orleans, LA 70118. Snacks and drink will be provided each day, but students should bring their lunch should they get hungry.

Certified coach Rebecca Robb is our leader of this camp and part of the Mathnasium team. She is all about understanding what makes you tick and helping you chart your course to what success means to you. With a knack for team coaching, she's here to cultivate leadership and collaboration not just in a career, but in every aspect of life.

MOVIE MAKING CAMP $350

What do we do?

  • Creative Writing
  • Sound Mixing
  • Video Filming

  • Improv Acting
  • Interviews

In this exciting camp, you'll not only increase your speed of measurements, range, weight, and counterbalance, but you'll also tap into the world of geometry. We're taking learning to the next level by incorporating visual and audible movie creation skills! Through hands-on activities, you'll learn how to bring your ideas to life mastering the art of visual storytelling and boost your knowledge about teamwork and communication techniques using the art of of the film industry!

Who staffs the camp? 

Film and television buff Zion Marable studied film at the University of New Orleans and has experience in multi-medium film production methods. This camp has a 5:1 ratio. It's designed to be engaging, interactive and we'll have a showcase of films for the students and families on Friday!

How much does it cost?

CAREER ASSESSMENT PACKAGE

By Appointment: Career Assessment Package: High School students (ages 16 and up) are welcome to schedule their career assessment package. The package investment is $695 and includes testing and 3 career strategy sessions with Hermann Schulze. To begin, please register online www.careerTHINK.net or call: 504-430-2251.


Our package includes:

  • The Highland's Ability Battery: To identify their ideal job description based on their natural abilities. Consists of 19 tests including driving abilities, learning and specialized abilities.
  • California Psychological Inventory (CPI260) & Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI): to identify personality strengths and will uncover a persons ideal work environment and his or her strengths, challenges and a playbook for dealing successfully with others and self.
  • Strong Interest Inventory (SII): To identify how ones personality and interests / preferences will help connect to future careers as well as rule out from consideration.



Meet Your Camp Leaders

Karl Schulz loves to help students gain essential skills in robotics and discover the endless possibilities that lie ahead in the world of robotics. Karl has worked with robotics for many years, as well as running multiple robotics camps through Mathnasium. He is a mechanical engineer from LSU and currently works as a high school physics teacher.

Robotics Camp: 6/03 - 6/07 & 7/29-8/2 

Franchise owner of Mathnasium of New Orleans, Hermann Schulze, studied mentors and through learning noticed that there were specific proactive steps taken by those who had careers that brings a lot of enjoyment. These 5-Steps are designed to not only determine the right career path, but to learn to build relationships with mentors and launch a career you love. He is owner of CareerThink and a certified John Maxwell Team Leadership speaker, trainer and coach. He is certified in several of the top career assessments, including DISC and The Highland's Ability Battery aptitude assessment.

Entrepreneur Camp: 6/10 - /6/15

Our Math Instructors are a unique blend of a highly talented crewe in both math skills and people skills- high school and college graduates. We provide individual instruction in a group environment. Every student has their own customized program, materials, and instruction that incorporates mental, verbal, visual, tactile, and written math. We have caring, dedicated instructors who have math backgrounds and relate well to children and are specially trained in the The Mathnasium Method™ which builds confidence, develops critical thinking, and boosts grades and scores, giving your child an edge for the next school year.

Math Camp: 6/17-6/21 & 7/22-7/26

Sita Mottamal is not only one of Mathnasium's lead instructors, she is a Tulane undergrad who is majoring in not only math but also digital art. She loves to teach and share her passion for art and her enthusiasm for numbers for both subjects with children. In 2023 she was nominated for the Tulane Art Department Student Awards for the digital concentration.

smART Camp: 6/24 - 6/28

Rebecca Robb not only works in development at Mathnasium, she also develops people (young and adult) as a certified SUCCESS Coach. She loves working towards enhancing our abilities for active listening and communication skills, and to use the techniques behind knowing learning styles and motivation that can cultivate one's own leadership skills.

Leadership Camp: 7/8 - 7/12

Zion Marable went to Dutchtown high school and studied film at the University of New Orleans. He has been in a handful of student film sets, short films, and a promotional music video about black history awareness here in New Orleans. More than anything Zion has a love for movies and television and you'll see this expressed through Movie Making Camp!
