Q: How does Mathnasium celebrate its student's success?
A: We celebrate their Wins by putting them up on our Brag Board which is at the front of the center, where it's visible for all of our students and parents to see. It's a board to recognize all of the hard work that our students are doing here at Mathnasium, which has in turn been reflected in the classroom.
Q: Tell me about student’s reactions to having their work on the brag board.
A: A student of mine was super proud of having more than one thing up on the brag board with their name on it, that they quickly pointed it out to their mom once she arrived so that they could show off their hard work.
Q: What kind of work gets put up?
A: The type of work that is put up will be any test or quiz in Math that a student has gotten an A on.
Q: Do you have a favorite memory of the Brag Board?
A: One of my students has been having a hard time staying motivated and doing well on tests. However, as we continued working on the gaps that they have, they have been slowly regaining their confidence back. They were so proud to bring in their work and show that they have been doing well on their test. Having the Brag Board definitely seems to be a motivator for students to do well on their tests!
