Center Director
Gigi holds a Bachelor's degree in Strategic Leadership from Northern Arizona University and brings over a decade of experience in education. Her background includes key roles at BASIS Charter Schools, where she specialized in academic support and leadership development, helping students build both academic skills and personal confidence. Her passion for math education and student success makes her a valuable asset to the North Scottsdale Mathnasium team.
In addition to her work in education, Gigi serves on the City of Glendale Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, where she helps shape community programs that promote wellness, learning, and inclusion. She’s also a passionate artist and singer, and a proud mother of grown children. In her free time, she enjoys exploring nature and building partnerships with schools and local organizations to advance STEM education and strengthen community engagement.
Joey A
Assistant Center Director
Joey is currently pursuing graduate studies in Mathematics at Arizona State University. He’s passionate about continuing education and helping students truly understand math. One of his favorite moments is when a student has that “light bulb” moment and a concept finally clicks—that’s what drives his love for teaching.
Outside of academics, Joey enjoys hiking, playing just about every sport, and spending as much time as possible with his son. He’s excited to be part of the Mathnasium team and is committed to making math make sense for every student he works with.

Zach is a recent high school graduate from Scottsdale Preparatory Academy with plans to study economics in college. He is passionate about learning and always enjoys supporting and helping students build their math skills and confidence.

Yes. Mathnasium of North Scottsdale offers both in-center and online tutoring. Students receive personalized, face-to-face instruction from the same specially trained tutors in a supportive and engaging group environment, whether they attend online or in person.
No. Students who attend online sessions receive the same quality of instruction, individualized learning plans, and group-based support as they would in our center.
We work with students in grades 2-12 across a wide range of math topics—from early arithmetic to Algebra, Geometry, and beyond.
